The Ifrit one beats all the others on that page hands down. Him being no longer spoony is a close second, though.

    Jack Thompson is so disbarred

he can't even play Phoenix Wright.
    OBJECTION!!!!!!!!

    That one made me LOL.

I bet Rockstar and TakeTwo are somewhere laughing it up having drinks on him at the bar.

Feba started a thread somewhere on the board discussing this when it was still in the hearing stage. Jack went off on a number of interesting rants. I sort of quasi-legal analyzed them in the thread. Normally when you submit a brief or a response to a legal proceeding you don't make anywhere near the number of mistakes Jacko tried. If he has associates, they're probably trying to cover up their involvement with him on their resumes right now.

I thought at the time, and I still do, that he wasn't making any kinds of arguments in the interest of preserving his legal credentials. He's looking to get on a conservative talk show, or into a conservative think tank/law school program.

That is true, TM, but I don't think the media will necessarily buy into what he's saying as much as they may have in the past. I mean, really... being disbarred does tend to ruin someone's credibility, especially on charges of professional misconduct.

    I love the cake.

Just because he can never practice law ever again doesn't mean he can't still be a loudmouthed nuisance. Haven't really heard much from him in a long time though, which is nice.

They stopped caring about him along time ago. lol

It'll be interesting to see if they mention it though.

    started a topic Thompson... disbarred?

    Thompson... disbarred?

Very surprised nobody else picked this up yet:

    Jack Thompson: Jack Thompson Disbarred
Jack Thompson: Thompson Responds To Disbarment

Maybe... just maybe... we'll never have to hear that name again. At the very least, we as gamers won't have to shudder every time we DO hear his name.

Thus, there being no authorized petition for review filed, and the time period to seek review has passed, the Court has treated this as an uncontested case. The Court has reviewed the 169-page corrected report of the referee filed on July 16, 2008, for sufficiency and has determined that permanent disbarment is merited on this record.
The Court approves the corrected referee's report and John Bruce Thompson is permanently disbarred, effective thirty days from the date of this order so that respondent can close out his practice and protect the interests of existing clients.
