I'm sure my life is truly lacking because I didn't try out the new seasoned beef patties this weekend at the local Costco. It's all so clear to me now.

So I am working with this young lady that is working through enochlophobia. Her goal was to get a job by the time she turned 17, so she applied at the local Costco and got one. The manager was contacted and informed that she shouldn't be put on the registers, at least for now. So where do they put her? On samples!! OMG! have you seen how people swarm the stores on the weekends just for the samples!? Many times you can't even get near the food because people are stacked up three deep around the sample person! This poor child was quickly overwhelmed and my heart went out to her.

What leads you to believe I didn't read? Just because I can get a refund on the membership doesn't mean that the other things aren't an issue for me.

Perhaps. But, these samples are cooked and watched right there in front of you. If you don't trust it, you can watch it go from package to sample yourself.

I like to shop locally when I can and buy fresh high-quality products when I can't. Costco is not the place to do that.

Heck, their free samples alone were almost worth it.

Plus, they'll refund your membership fees if you aren't happy, so you don't really have much to lose by going to one and trying it out except your time.
I've been to one before with my mother. It's just not for me.

Because only damn dirty hippies eat it.

I just can't co-sign on bulk retailers like Costco. I can see how they might be useful to families with children, but I live alone.
