What do you download?

Re: What do you download?

A friend of mien is housebound, he downloads all the latest films as he can;t physically go to the cinema to watch them. he also downloads US Tv shows as we don't get them over here for a couple of years and music wise... With i tunes we have to pay twice what you do in the US for the same song, thanks to rip off Uk so he downloads them via torrent or a specialised Usenet group which is invitation only to try and beat the film industry police.

Re: What do you download?

You don't have one... yet...

Not to mention it was an appeal to the community, not any single person in particular.

Why do we have a mod named Kittyneko?

You're asking me why my nickname is that? You should probably do that in a PM. However, you can read my signature

Re: What do you download?

Well I see a lot of "safe" replies. I personally download everything. I download games, movies, albums (but usually single tracks using Limewire P2P). I would buy the games and movies if I could afford all of them, but this is saving me a lot of money... I play/watch them and then I delete them. Usually the games are not online playable and the movies are bad quality, I don't mind about that though. I understand morals and law.. but then again, I do live in the Netherlands.. there's not really a focus on such things here . A german friend of mine got fined about 150 euro's for downloading Manhunt using torrents. That's not very likely to happen here anytime soon.

Re: What do you download?

Isn't it assumed ppl download porn illegally and legally?
Someone has to get it legally for people to illegally share, right?

Re: What do you download?

I see you kept clear of the porn option..

Re: What do you download?

Gray area most of the time.

Usually if I see it for sale at a price reasonable to buy, I'll buy it, otherwise,
to the torrents, or rapidshare <.<;

Usually good stuff they don't have it for sale in the US. That or its fan translated mangas >.>;

Let there be internet free for all!

Re: What do you download?

I only download grey area things, because I'd rather have a hard copy. For example I can't find Mega NRG Man anywhere because his music is spread across two hundred Super Eurobeat albums that they don't sell in the U.S. Same for Powerful T. If they actually sold their albums I'd be all over it.

It'd have to be a full album, not this mixed stuff.

Re: What do you download?

The only thing I download is content from iTunes. Anything else I just buy or wait until it's available to buy.

I don't use this 'internet' thing.

...WAAAAAAAIT.

Re: What do you download?

I generally don't download things, only in extreme circumstances, such as when Wings didn't come out on PC right away and I used an XBox360 code in order to register it. Otherwise, I really don't download anything.

Re: What do you download?

I guess trying before I buy things fits most. Usually I only d/l specific songs, not entire albums. Music is the only thing I ever download. Other than that, I d/l FFVII:AC back during the big Japanese leak, and that's about it.

And for the music I d/l it's mostly stuff I either can't get my hands on around here, or would have to pay more to import, which doesn't suit me, when I only wanted the album for 2 or 3 songs at most.
