What's your favorite forum format?

What is your favorite type of forum to use? A forum like this,with all the divisions by thread and topic (ignore the newposts/subscription option), a textboard (like 4chan), or an imageboard (again, like 4chan's)?


Personally, I prefer 4chan style textboard, since you can easily read replies to threads and decide if you want to reply or not.

My two big things are "new posts" links and lightweight formatting (not that there is such a thing with forums these days). I prefer divisions by thread and topic, just because anything else ends up seeming too cluttered for my mind.

Exactly. I my forums. I've only ever been to 4chan once, and I didn't enjoy navigating around it at all.

4chan's fun, but that's besides the point.

I like forum-style forums.
