I'm pretty sure Mexico is not one of those countries, and the hoops you have to jump through to go to the US to spend money aren't worth it at all for me.

What would you need a visa for? I'm pretty sure most countries' (at least, ones where you'd have internet access and $150~ to spend on a game every year) citizens can visit the US for 30-90 days on just a passport. Cross the border, they stamp it, you go about your business.

It certainly is one of the few reasons (along with Riverdance shows and NYC's legendary Pizzas) I'd like to get/renew a US visa. But yeah, I'll just buy the CD/DVD instead.

Has anyone gone to one of these performances? I went down to Baltimore last night and it was incredible. I giggled like a school girl when I saw the program:

    Liberi Fatali
(not listed: 5 second rendition of the Victory Fanfare)
    To Zanarkand
    Don't Be Afraid
    Aerith's Theme
    Medley 2002
    Dear Friends
    Vamo' alla Flamenco
    Love Grows
    Ronfaure
    Main Theme (Prologue)

    Opening - Bombing Mission
    Fisherman's Horizon
    Memoro de la Stono
The Man with the Machine Gun
    Theme of Love
    Swing de Chocobo
    Maria and Draco
    Terra's Theme

    Encore: One Winged Angel

I think we got extremely lucky with Catherine MiEung Choi, who provided amazing vocals on Distant Worlds and the Opera. It was easily the best rendition of the FFVI Opera I've ever heard, and warranted its standing ovation. Every piece was excellent and the whole night was perfectly arranged. I would've loved to hear Clash on the Big Bridge or Dancing Mad, but at least I got Ronfaure.

The conductor Arnie Roth announced that he and AWR Records will be involved with FFXIV along with Uematsu, but wouldn't elaborate beyond that. Perhaps he'll be conducting the larger pieces with a bona fide orchestra, or they'll be quick to release an album/go on tour.

If you're able to go to a future performance, definitely take advantage of it. They'll be in San Francisco and Seattle in July, and hopefully other cities in the future. The performance went overtime causing me to miss my train, so I was stuck in Baltimore until 4am, but I don't regret anything. If you've been, share how your night went!

I live in MN and have 4 VIP meet greets for the Chicago March 1st premiere. 2 are for me and my wife and the other 2 are for my cousin and his fiance but he's also shipping out to bootcamp possibly in febuary or march he doesn't know yet. If he does leave in febuary I'll send you a PM 3-4 weeks before the premiere if you're still interested.
