    FF updated + nice No Script and Ad Blocker (just because I hate ads, for that latter app).

    Nothing is ever 100% safe, but it's best to do what you can on your end.

    Yeah, IE has been bad news for a long while, but then I've never been totally happy with any web browser. Even lynx, which was my favorite for a long while (but then I used to be a big fan of Gopher), is horrendously insecure (just has an obscurity advantage). NoScript helps, though.

    Use what you want, and Mhurron is right that no software is ever safe. But an always up-to-date copy of FF3 with NoScript keeps me ahead of the game. I'd recommend it.

    FYI, I use IE. I don't care what anyone thinks and I don't want to use Firefox. If you have the proper programs on your computer, you are just fine with IE. I haven't had any issues for years while my husband has with his Firefox. (Though in FF's defense, my husband is an idiot.)
