I dont keep track of all that crap -.- I do the tests at the customers homes after I finish repairing them

You must have confused that with something else because that is incorrect. If your ps is 550 and your puter only needs 400 then it will only pull 400 but if it clearly needs more it will pull that also up to the limits of your ps.

Irony much? Mhurron pretty clearly refuted the exact point you had stated; that nVidia and Intel or ATI and AMD will work better than nVidia and AMD or ATI and Intel. You're the one bending statements (Mhurron's, specifically)

The thing is, those aren't "opinions", those are "completely and totally incorrect views".

We have no problem with Kailea. We'd do the same to anyone else who came in here acting like they know everything, when they are infact completely clueless.

This has everything to do with that thread. You might not have been around for it, but the point has been (and probably will be until Kailea smartens up and other learns him a book or stops posting on the subject) that his views on computers are dead wrong, and that's still the case.

Which is the problem. If you want to have an opinion, fine, have an opinion. However, when you start spewing off bullshit like it's factual, you will get shit.

And Saphiera, your statements are far more trolling than anything anyone else in this thread (including Kailea) has said. Keep a cool head, you really help out the people you argue against more than you damage them.

thats the thing there Feba, I never once said it was FACT, I said I have seen i t myself, witch it true, I have seen a small performance difference using very similar specs and using the different combos of hardware. So yes to me its fact, I have tested it myself, but its also in away my opinion, that is should be done that way. Never once did I say it had to be done this way. All you two want to do is flaunt your selfs around. I do my job very nicely thank you , and don't appreciate being told I do it poorly.

    Re: New Computer Configuration

AMD recently purchased ATI... well, recent as between the last time I bothered updating my drivers from ATI's website and a few months ago when I noticed. So, logically, it *should* work better if you combined the two, since they're now using the same basic source for chips/components.

There are, however, a number of other examples of things that *should* work and don't. For instance: The Iraqi's *should* welcome us, we're overthrowing Saddam! Who doesn't love an invading army? ;p

Mhurron is correct. Check the individual performance ratings on your components by looking at Tom's Hardware or Overclockers.com for side by side comparisons. (There are probably newer sites now). Things that should work great together sometimes don't.

    Seriously?? No widescreen??

/em grabs chest............IT'S THE BIG ONE!!

Fyi, just make sure you have the right pin set up on your power supply. Older ps's have a 4 pin and many new mb's need an 8 pin. I was stupid enough to think that our local computer store wouldn't rape me (ya I know /slap) and I blindly bought a ps. Picked up a Coolermaster 650w for $120 because I needed it RIGHT NOW and it had the 4 pin connector setup. I was so pissed because by the time I got home and found this out, the store was closed for the day and it wasn't open on Sunday. Gramma had to go take a walk to cool off. LOL

    Re: New Computer Configuration

The only reccomendation that I can think of is if you are going to run Vista at all ( because Microsoft is absoloutly evil and offering gaming companies an incentive bonus for making games Vista Compatable just like they do with every operating system they come out with ) think about upgrading to at least 3gig of ram, the dual channel capabilities of your motherboard and very nice cache on the processor will help take up some of the weight with Vista. I was unable to check if your hard drive is an actual SATA drive rather than an old IDE with a newer SATA connector added on, a lot of hard drive companies are taking all of their older drives and just attaching the SATA connector onto the drive making it an IDE drive that can use a SATA cord, the data transfer is still the same speed as an IDE which is about 2/3rds slower than a SATA cord if I remember right.

The power supply that you are runing should be just fine for helping to reduce heat, most every graphic card comes with it's own fan to help with circulation in the tower and if there isnt a fan on your processor i'd be suprised.

575w is more than enough to run anything inside of a computer tower, I acnt remember the cutoff but I think that the power supply can only pull 450w into the case for saftey reasons (i'm just remembering an old lecture, not sure if that is the wattage) and anything after that is unused

    Re: New Computer Configuration

The problems I seem to have with my computer and FFXI is that Vista is very picky with FFXI, like for one you cant run Ventrillio and FFXI at the same time, what I mean by that is, you would have to keep switching windows to make sure vent is on top before you can even use its functions, another thing DO NOT use the built in windower on FFXI, the built in one has a lot of issues with Vista. Also I would use a duo graphics card so that it saves you a lot of lag in the game, Vista is a ram hog keep that in mind, if you have a powerful computer then it would run it np, but I have a crappy one that I can only run FFXI >.> otherwise I lag so bad my chr freezes lol. That mostly has to do with my ATI Radeon 900x M series (sp?) graphics card......... I really wish I had a duo one like Niv but mines built in =( so I cant change it (I have a crappy laptop btw)

Btw Idk much about computers but that is what I do know =) dont pick on me T-T
    oh and one more thing!

Mhurron and Feba (sp?) both of you need to back the heck off of kailea, I mean seriously you are acting like 5 year olds, I'd say Feba that posting in another thread that has nothing to do with what you two or three may have been arguing about earlier is a form of harassment, and from my understand harassment is something that is against the law no matter how small it may be. Now here is my suggestion to both of you, pull the stick you have shoved up your ass out, I am tired of reading this shit you are posting all she is trying to do is help someone by giving her own OPINION and last time I checked an OPINION is not FACTUAL information. This just go's to show you two need to be put back in grade school you seem to be lacking in the knowledge department of 5-12 year olds.

Also do I need to worry about extra fans or anything? I don't want it overheating.

your power supply is fine for what you have there.

AMD/anything sucks because AMD's current processors leave a lot to be desired.

Your assertion that AMD/nVidia doesn't work or that Intel/nVidia works better because it's 'paired' is just stupid, especially when you consider it was not to long ago that and AMD processor, nVidia chipset and nVidia video card was the most powerful gaming machine you could buy.

    Before that it was AMD/ATI.

    Before that it was Intel/ATI/3dfx.

It has nothing to do with what part works together, it's the performance of the individual componants.

did I say it did not work together? no..... you and Feba take what I say and bend it to say something else, both of you can back off, I am sorry I have worked with computers for 8 years, I have seen my own things and formed my own opinions, just like you two have.
