Annoyed with people complaining that SE sucks because they don't take the time to figure things out on their own.

If your card does not support this, you need to call your bank. There's many regularly used sites that use this (and/or have been using this for years.)

    OGPlanet
    NewEgg
    Skype
    Apparently SE now
    GRAVITY
    etc.

Your bank or credit card supplier should have a way to bypass this function, as it is quite common now.

As for commenting on their "business sense," they're enacting a widely known and appreciated security method.

    Thanks, Square-Enix.

This seems to be affecting a lot of people. If SE has any sense of business at all, once they see their profit from this month drop, they may make this an optional feature (like it was intended to be) instead of mandatory.

Then again... We all know very well that they're not really the brightest company.

It happened this Sunday. When I called the tech support, they said they couldnt charge my card (I check with my bank and had way over $15...just got paid) I have been using the same card for the last year. I guess it was time for me to take my leave...I just wish it was under my conditions and not someone's elses.

I just wanted to complete my last goal of getting BST to level 75 and fully merited. Then solo a White Tathlum. I was figuring that would be my epic final boss fight that I won to take my leave on.

Dang! My original registration was from a PC (Zilart combo pak) and all the rest were from PS2. It is probably the reason it didnt work for me.

Thank you everyone for the advice you have given me over the few years I been here. /bow

(On the upside, I get 13 GB back on my PS3 and a lot of hours to do other things.)

that's the case with me, my card doesn't qualify but since I didn't have to change any info it still paid.

Ouch, so my (MasterCard) card from MX got accepted without my bank supporting SecureCode but other cards in the US got bounced?

    That's just wrong.
