graphically its not hard or no excuse for the ps2, because they can just exclude it from visual things. The only thing is gameplay changes they have to be careful about.

It is hard for them to update with the limits of the PS2. Its pretty much a dead weight now holding back a lot of potential graphically and performance wise.

Isn't XI DX8.1 though?

The DirectX 9 upgrade wasn't just about graphical problems with Nvidia drivers but also about performance improvements, I think it's pretty ridiculous I can run a game like CoD4 at full detail at a steady 30-40 fps (that includes Highest settings on everything and AA 2x) but still take a frame rate hit on a place like Whitegate.

Then again maybe I should just quit the game and stop worrying about that kind thing (as it really bugs me).


Disclaimer:

I am not asking for a graphic overhaul, only a performance improvement and better use of hardware aceleration by the client on things like textures, further drawing distance and maybe support for things like AA.

hell they can have my refresh spell (not like I use it on anyone but myself when I meripo or campaign.) besides people can just buy juices to get the effect if they want it. BBQ taught me something, if a player can handle it themselves it is not my problem. Being a dick ftw.

Sorry Alsannyi, they decided that they too were sick of seeing Mr. M post so they decided to make Red Mage melee, now.

Also new missions were suppose to be last update as well.
