You're putting words in my mouth. My original statement stands.

I used to run around in my onion set in 1.0 because I thought it was cool. I don't do dungeons in them, though. I think some players run around in low level gear because they don't bother to upgrade ... not because of some fashion statement.

Bitch, I run around in low level gear because of how it looks due to the fact that I'm gay and the gays love fashion.

    So NEEEENERRRRR.

It costs credits to transfer the modifications, but it is always pretty reasonable (10k per mod so 30k a pop for endgame items which is nothing in SWTOR at 55) and only really gets expensive if you are doing it with a full BiS gear set with purple augments .

True, but I do still like that they added that feature to RoS - some of the armor sets look really badass and it sucks to lose 'em.

Also really glad SE chose not to add Snow's stupid Toque.

I think SWTOR did it best with event gear. It is all moddable so if you want to wear that event gear for Raids, you can by just transferring your mods to it.

These items will be more valuable once Vanity slots are implemented, mew. Even then, they are still cool to use when not doing content that's not above level 13. Event items typically aren't meant to be high level gear anyway. It's actually nice they aren't simply level 1 gear like the Warrior of Light helm.

Ugh, didn't anyone else cringe at all the items being level 13?

Still, I do want to do this event all the same. Hopefully the final chapter will drop some cool stuff. Wonder if they'll have Lightning voiced for this.

Gender specific, means that you'll need to drink that Fantasia potion and switch off to get the other set.

Hm. Might have to come back for a month just to do this.
