Re: Selbina, where art thou?
haha
I don't mind too much if we overlap for no reason. I am going to get carp up to a dece level in the beginning and then drop it later on if I dislike it, and pick up goldsmithing (my secret love). Even though I love shields, and the idea of making a lantern shield gets me wet...
But regardless, I feel like the game gives us a lot of freedom on these choices. If only for the fact that there is no point to leveling anything. Oops, did I say that? I do like this game though
so to overview: next week after monday I will get on and grind carpentry while smoking drugs. Feel free to add me as a friend. =] yayy

Re: Selbina, where art thou?
What do you expect from the company that took over Alienware? Those guys used to be somebody... now they're just.... well... dell whores.Originally posted by Aeni View PostWould make sense if you made your own computer. My next PC will be one that I assemble myself with the usual off the shelf items instead of buying a pre-assembled unit from someone/company. I'm getting tired of these inferior parts breaking down in short order (suspiciously a few days after your warranty expires) and I would rather want to be in full control of at least the ability of knowing what went into my PC rather than having to place my entire trust in someone else/a company.
And god damn it Dell's products have gotten shittier with each passing year for the past 10 years.

Only downside is their sheer size. Those mother****ers are huge.

When I was picking my card... it was a toss-up between yours and this:Originally posted by Aeni View PostLeaving out a monitor, my rig (Dell) cost me about $900 last year. The only change was my GTX460 1gb and a new PSU that I got a few months ago. The game runs great, I can have it in background, work in Photoshop, watch anime, have FFXI update itself and IM and Vent all running simultaneously. Not that it happens all the time but it's nice that it can handle things perfectly fine.

All you "NEED" is a duo core processor some ram (4gigs or more) and a good 1 gig mem card. Done.
I absolutely do not suggest anyone waste money building a PC JUST FOR FFXIV like I did... but if thats what you're going to do. I have 4 words for you...
