And I just downloaded all 3 to by iTunes. Well from iTunes..

Didn't Tanaka (or Komoto, was actually more likely Komoto) in an interview over @ ZAM that they want to do away with traditional classes altogether?

That's why they are making it this way; the idea is that you create your own class from the skills you learn, while still maintaining a way to focus/specialize in certain areas.

I did read about the jobs being able to fill more than one role. Rather than a job being only one thing, it can be 2-3 different things instead.

This will lead to more tanks, DDs, support, healers ect.

A person that is set up to be a DD can switch to a tank quickly between fights if needed, and vise verrsa. If you have a tank leaving, and cant find any jobs that can tank, then just have some one change to "tank" skills/gear, and just grab a DD, or what ever to replace them, and they can exp. No longer will 1 person leaving break a party as easily as it did in FFXI

Just like if you are soloing. If you are injured, and need to be healed. The fight ends, you change to a stafforwhateverweaponitisthattheyusetoheal and heal them self, then go back to their sword, hammer, club, H2H, spear, W/E.

Communication will be needed as well as it will make it so that people will know what you are willing to do in a party. Maybe you play as a DD type job, but they have tank skill as well, and you want to play as a tank. Or a healer type class that has DD type skills, and you want to DD instead of heal. They wil actually have to ask you what you want to do instead of just say...

"{Hello!} {Party}?"

Nothing wrong with speculating and sometimes some people like to cover all the bases. Speculating is one of the purposes of the forum so just have fun with it.
