I can't even watch it, but it refrences Altered beast, which is awesome. No other game alows you to repeadetly kick glowing warthogs as the run past you.

I heard RDM's will melee, Blms will mainly charm mobs, Bsts will transform into Beasts, Rangers will probably used bows. Also all the crap that's been put out, I'm super excited that nobody has figured out AV yet in FFXI, hope he makes a return if they don't figure him out this go round lmao

More likely the DDs will go: "What? I don't have tank skills leveled. If I wanted to play a tank I'd play a tank" >>> party disbands.

The suggestion of switching roles is akin to asking someone to go back to their moghouse and switch jobs. Nothing's changed.

Also the majority of people are still going to play DD. There will always be a shortage of tanks and healers.

My speculation is party setup would be like those multi-player shooter games (such as Counter-Strike):

It does not really matter which "weapons" you or your teammates pick. Once the battle starts to roll, the game will flow. In a sense players would need to adapt with the tools (weapons) available, or adjust their play style according to the team/party.

In some way we already seen this in FFXI Campaign Battles --- we throw bodies in there regardless of race, job, tools, or even levels (to a certain extend) ... at the end somehow it works out (or doesn't).

If we go beyond the model of party fights one mob at a time, with a fixed camp (location) and pulling --- the game-play could be something like tanks = campers + snipers (in shooter game) and DD = rush (in shooter game).

If you have a tank leaving, and cant find any jobs that can tank, then just have some one change to "tank" skills/gear, and just grab a DD, or what ever to replace them, and they can exp. No longer will 1 person leaving break a party as easily as it did in FFXI
