Coming back from 2 year break >.<; My Thief needs help...

Been out of FFXI for a while (got married and moved to Japan for the time being) and I was wondering with all these new stuff (level sync, assault, etc...) how will that effect me as a 56 Thf/Nin???

I got into some posts and got some general info but now it's time to get in the trenches and kick some beatmen ass!

Well I just got back in about a month ago and I recently upgraded some gear. I'm at work now and can't remember what I got now. But here is what I can remember now....and forgive my spelling on equip I know I will get some wrong lol

Main hand: Corsair's kukri (spelling?)
Off Hand: Beetle Knife +1
Head: Walker's Mask
Body: Juridah (spelling?)
Neck: Spike Necklace
Hands: I think battle glove or mittens ( I think mittens)
Ear 1 and 2: Spike Earing (Attk +5 Eva -5)
Back: Nomad's Mantle +1
Feet: Bounding Boots
Ring 1: forgot name but that ring that cures "Amesia" Store TP...lol
Legs: Bastokian Subligar ^^

My Mithra looks nice with the Subliar and Boots tre chic lmao

Anyways any help/advice would be appreciated.

Also would like to know what is a Thiefs role in all the new content of ToAU and WoTG. Like Assualt and Besieged? ( again spelling....>.<)

I just completed G3 and I got my SH finally
Also dinged to 58. Nothing much new 'cept I got my AF hands. I'm working it as I go and ask high lvl Thf's I see running around, some are helpful and some just shrug me off. It's cool.
