Skillchain damage unfair???

  • Skillchain damage unfair???

    Here's what I've been experiencing for quite sometime now...

    Scenario 1,
    Dancing Edge >> Sidewinder

    XXX readies Sidewinder..
    Sand Cockatrice takes 600+ damage..
    Skillchain: Reverberation!
    Sand Cockatrice takes 200+ damage..

    7 out of 10 times, the Reverberation is above 200.


    Scenario 2,
    Sidewinder >> Dancing Edge

    Tingko readies Dancing Edge..
    Sand Cockatrice takes 600+ damage...
    Skillchain: Distortion!
    Sand Cocktrice takes 60+ damage...

    7 out of 10 times, I get crappy Distortion.

    Only once in a while I get 200-300+ Distortion.

    I don't get it.. How the hell a Level 1 skillchain has higher damage output than Level 2 skillchain consistently???
    Please note that Reverberation is a Water Element and Distortion is both Water and Ice. Is that the cause of this?

    Also, both examples on the top is executed after all debuffs has landed and sticked.
    And both examples do not have any Weapon skill preceded them.

    Any explanation on this? Or is it Square-Enix is playing "Nerf the Thief" game again?
