      haha good point. wasnt really thinking what the colibri was going to cast was thinking about what spells youll need to save mp for.

        Even without erase handy you should be casting Dia II on every bird. Regardless. A 10% defense down is a huge bonus, as it equates to about 11.5% ATK bonus for everyone hitting the mob. 9/10 times you will take the Dia. Which protects you from sleep/lullaby. As a direct comparison look at it this way. An 11% ATK bonus to 4 people. 1 may gt hit wit a 10% DEF down. Or you don't cast it, and let your WAR's /WARs pop berserk, a 15% increase to ATK , and a 15% Decrease to DEF only for themselves.

        Dia II should be the first spell you cast on every mob. It increases kill speed, and thus decreases the amount of dmg your party will take overall.

        Even when you get erase, Dia II/III is not critical enough to warrant erasing them. From my experience, erase is reserved for elegy. If the DD are afraid to be taking a little extra damage to speed up exp/hr, then you need to find new DD.
