Beadeux... cursed land of no key drops!

2 nights; 2 hours each; failed.

not ONE key dropped...
it's unbelievable how low the drop rate is;
it's some sort of conspiracy to keep us from getting AF Body.

I tried both places to camp, but no drops so far.
Just to confirm..

Sapphire, Platinum, Darksteel, and Ancient drop keys, correct?

I was NM hunting in Beadeaux, and saw an old friend from my old HNM LS. We got to talking and he, apparently, thought I deserved my key. So he asked near everyone in Beadeaux anon or not to help. He got one JPN English speaking RDM lvl 70. He was 68 RDM (thank you Magius) and I was there on my 63 DRG. (hoping someone would invite me to a coffer pt =D)

We went to the 4 door area. 5 Quad kills later...key drop. Instant Warp to Jeuno, change clothes. Choco to Beadeaux, Mag has located coffer. Go to coffer open it (and die, forgot my Instant Warp and sneak wears when you open coffers). Regardless, got my Cyclas. Can't wear the bastards...but now MNK AF complete.

So nice having two sets of AF in your mog. ^_^

Beadeaux is pretty easily done with a PT of level 57's if you go to the four door area and carbuncle pull. In most cases my PT found platinum quads just weren't worth the time to kill... I'm pretty sure they have thief jobs and their evade is just really, really, troublesome.

Ancient's are your best friend because...
well.. they pretty much just take in damage
& no really harsh offensive spells or attacks.

Just to let you know, even with the almighty TH2...
it took us 2 hours to get 1 key and no more after that.

Also, after you are done w/ key hunting,
stop by Qulun Dome to get your Quadav Crest.
Oh... and I didn't find a chest within any of the 4-Door rooms.
However, I did find it near the first area of Quadav's when you enter the tunnel and turn right; on the way to MUTE.

I completed all Mnk AF now. I have made a tour for my AF coffer key session. I gathered my LS members who are 50+ for skill up opportunities and called some friends aswell which were total of 7 people.

We first went to garliage citadel for my head piece and my friend's Rdm trousers. Comparing to my AF tour as rdm which we went as rdm rdm pld whm, we were pld mnk rdm whm brd. So basically we wiped the area to prevent unnecesary agro while on switch. We basically got both AF which the coffer were past the 2nd and 3rd banishing gate.

Of with Bedeaeux, my friends were actually there hunting NMs while we were on the move. As soon as I arrived in bedeaeux, key droped -_-; (yes kill me was real lucky). So I proceeded with coffer hunting. I think Location wise Bedeaeux and Oztorja has one of the easiest places. Although packed with mobs -_-; I managed to slip amoung the quadavs and get the Body part and sneaked back (was subbing whm).

Huu Xalmo the Savage, we went with Pld 67 Pld 74(ls member) 58mnk (me) 64whm (LS member) 53 Drk (ls member) 57 rdm (ls member). Our plan was get 2 coffers for Drk and rdm + 1key. We saw a 75 smn soloing. We warned him that we will be spawning AF3 yagudo, he offered to help us. In exchange we offered him help to get Tornado which was why the smn was here in the first place. So I poped him... Smn summons fenrir > Eclipse bite... Target sticks to fenrir till Huu Xalmo the Savage was dead -_-;;; Pld couldn't take hate from him what so ever which was quite funny. The rdm and drk in my ls is one of the luckiest bastard that I know... The key dropped from the 2nd yagudo it poped... Rdm had the key so Drk gets it. The coffer was located in the Coded room and no one was camping. 30~45 min later coffer pops in one of the torch rooms... no thf competitors eighther.

Oh well there are some lucky people in this world...

omg you got incredibly lucky with Huu xalmo... congrats

i just got my GC key last night, but i'm still 5k under 55.. so i got a couple lvls to find the damn coffer... prolly just camp behind 2nd gate as mnk/whm and wait days if it takes it to get it

for bead i'll wait till i'm closer to 58... at this point i'll have several higher lvl ls guys to help me out.. and for Huu Xalmo i've got a long ways before i even gotta worry about it.. lol

Just take exp parties to Beadeaux from 57 or so. I leveled 57-60 there from doing my key hunt as well as with a select few others who needed it. Took 8 trips before I got my key, only 1 key dropped the first 7 trips, then we got 3 keys on the 8th trip within 2 hours I think. We got all 3 coffers while killing mobs as well, since they had spawned around the 4-door room.

And a note... AF3 fight is tough if you have a lot of melee party members due to his area attacks. Your healers will have a heck of a time keeping everyone healed up during that fight if it's the case.

Apprently theyve fixed AF2 now so you HAVE to kill the NMs, otherwise when you go to check the tent for the book it says "Event skipped!" or something of the sort.

i guess i finished it just in time as for AF3 my ls is mage heavy... as in like 3 tanks 4 melee, rest blm or whm lol shouldn't be too bad

The mnk orc NM used Hundred fists, didnt hit the pld much at all.

Turned out later our PLD was 72. :D (He was /anon)

AF3 ~ Xalmo

Finished it last night.
2 PT of 11 PPL LV58~63

Biggest DON'T: Do not ever, ever, use Hundred Fists or get ready to get owned.
Higher level MNK in my PT used it for fun and for the first 10 seconds, it seemed to go ok...
But then, the Xalmo turns to the MNK

Xalmo counters MNK for 38 dmg.
Xalmo counters MNK for 20 dmg.
Xalmo hits MNK for 40 dmg.
Xalmo hits MNK for 50 dmg.
Xalmo counters MNK for 38 dmg.
Xalmo counters MNK for 42 dmg.
Xalmo scores a critical hit for 78 dmg!
etc...

Pretty soon the MNK was down in the next 10 seconds.
I was just glad I didn't turn on Hundred Fists either.
Fairly easy NM however if you have all melee attack from behind.
