Spartan Cesti: Buy or BNCM?

The next weapon for me (in my price range) is the Spartan Cesti. It's selling for 900K on my server and I have about 700K. My question is if I should just spend my hard earned money on them or attempt to BCNM60 for them. Obviously I don't want to pay for them if I don't have to, but I don't know if it's that much easier doing BCNM 60 for it. Also I need Spectacles too, but the two items combined are over 2 million gil, and I don't know anyone who's just going to let me have them. If they are that hard to get, I may just wait until I can afford them, but if they aren't that hard to get through BCNM60 I'll try to make some friends and try to do it =.=

If you can get people to help you with BCNM60 then that's the way to go.. it won't be easy though.. Giddeus is the only one that drops the cesti and the ninja NM gets very annoying... utsusemi somehow lets him absorb sleepga and even when he 2hrs (explodes) he'll come back with the same amount of life left as before he 2hred.. so have your mage heal everyone around him and be ready to heal after. We kept him to second to last so the ninja could be an aspir battery for our mages. It wasn't an easy battle but was doable.. problem is finding people to let you gank the weapon.

Spectacles are in Yoghutt which is far easier but the cesti seem to be a more common drop... never had Spectacles drop, they seem to be as bad as Astral Shield.. so good luck w/ those.

Best case scenario I can see for you is to try to get some people to help with BC60 Giddeus then try to save for spectacles.

BCNM 60 is a peice of cake as long as the blm has sleepaga II. the thing is no one would allow u to keep the spartan cestis. so ur gonna probably have to buy it.

Save for these and you might as well save for the Cross-Counters.

Did giddeus bcnm60 once, No drop, was flawless, everyone evacuate, let the tank deal wif the nin when it's near death, put him at the end of the list or second last

Did Horlais peak bcnm50 once, Spectacle dropped (woohoo) Won by 29:58, 2 more sec and we are dead, I got one shooted by the ranger orc's eagle shoot while in berserk hundred fists mode.

personally i think go do the bcnm if possible, if yer lucky you'll get the stuff for free.

I bought the spartans around 60, and ended up selling them back for like a 50k profit and decided to just stick to bone patas +1 and shiva claws all the way up to Feral Fangs now which are just 1 damage shy of the spartan's damage and a less delay and accuracy.

On kujata though I would recommend just saving for cross-counters instead since they dropped so low in price ;_; If the cross-counters were 1.6 mil around that time I could have bought those for another 300k instead of spartans.

The money I got from selling the spartans, I ended up buying 2 sniper rings, overpriced amemit which recently dropped ;_; and a brown belt again for fun.
