  • Different types of songs on the mobs

I heard, that there only could be a certain number of songs on a mob? But more than two? I don't remember where this post was. If someone could direct me to it or respond to my question that would be great.

Which Debuff songs can be sung on a mob? and How many?

Too lazy to find an old post so I'll just say it here: you are not limited to a total of two songs on a mob like you are on a player. You are, however, limited to one song of any given type. And lullaby and requiem won't coexist for any more than a second or two (until requiem does damage and cancels lullaby).

So you can have one elegy (presumably your best), one requiem (again, presumably your best), one threnody (this will vary and you can overwrite them situationally), and one lullaby (though in practical terms, not at the same time as requiem or any other damage over time like Dia, because a sleeping enemy will wake as soon as it takes any damage).

Dunno how virelai applies as far as song stacking, and finale isn't an "effect" that remains on an enemy, so much as an instantaneous change. So you can use finale when everything else is on an enemy, or when nothing else is on an enemy, or anything in between.
