Current speculation is that the new Ex rings drop from the new NMs, such as the giant rock crab or the new Dragon HNM in the northlands. At this point, people have matched up names of the rings to types of mobs (i.e. Veela being a type of fairy, and one of the new NMs being a fairy). But if that's not enough, some of these mobs seem to have multi-zone pops as their names show up in multiple areas.

Also, the Nocturnus stuff and the Nightfall will be WotG Shadowlord drops...a fight that can only be accessed when allied nations control the northlands. Which I dunno about your servers, but on mine, I can't see that happening too often.

As someone with NIN, COR, and DNC I can't say I'm blown away by the gear in this update. It's not like paladins don't already have a metrick fuckton of heavy armour to choose from but hey let's introduce some more. While we're on let's solidify the chokehold WAR/DRG/SAM already have on DD roles/party invites.

Veela Cape piques my interest, depending on how much effect it is. Not much else though. Certainly nothing that made me say "I must have it" except for that ring.

Chances are the Nocturne gear will be just as hard to get as the Dynamis Lord's drops, meaning they're nothing more then a carrot dangling out of reach for 95% of the people who play this game. The rings are actually pretty meh, nice but a small upgrade. Though I guess Odin and Alex give nice gear, better then most Avatar gear at least. Can't wait to see how unbelievably annoying THOSE fights will be. I mean, Alex can already be a pain to beat in the ToAU mission, and he actually has help in that. You know they're just gonna screw you over when you actually take on the 'real' thing for the whole 30 minute fight.

I wonder what the Moggibag Lvl 1 Ammo items is. Not that I think it has any relation to the Gobbie Bag quests.
