    Re: Return Overpayment?

Looks like it is your money now. unless buddy hits you up again. If you were on Shiva, I might attempt to tell you it was me. haha j/k. I've over payed for stuff, a few times. Most of the time its buying one of an item for stack price. I've taken a look to try to find the victor of my error, and so far its been Japanese players, and the give me the ole translator [i do not speak any english]. so I try to use the translator something along the lines of [gil] [mistake][auction house] They just pretend like they don't know what you are saying, and just don't respond.

Except "an nq" and "an hq" are correct.

Unless you read all acronyms as phonetically representing the entire word. If you say "En-Cue", "an" is correct. Same with "Aych-Cue". "a normal quality" would be correct only if you pronounce the words out; "Ay-En-Cue" is incorrect. Just try saying it out loud.

When I upgraded from Behemoth Knives, someone bought one of mine for 20k and they were like 6k'ish on AH. I got the /tell and it was very polite. I don't remember what went wrong for them to make the blunder but they overspent enough to make it not possible to acquire another item they had planned to get. I said okay and cuz I wasn't a dick about it they told me just to send 10k cuz that's all they needed for the item and the rest beyond the AH price was a tip for being nice. Sometimes it actually pays to be nice. I've done overpaid several times but it wasn't a huge amount and it was my own fault ... DAMN YOU 360 D-PAD!!! >.<

I'm guessing that he was fixing grammatical/spelling errors received in the tell from Pfunk; bolded to indicate that they were his changes.

The message in your original post says Pfunk, so I guess that's him?

Due to the poll results, I intended to... but I can't access my FFXIAH account or see the transaction in my history and I can't remember his name. Any ideas?

Possible RMT Alert either that or he was just a rich mofo who didn't care.

Since the thread is 10 days old now, did you give it back Evion?

The auction house interface isn't exactly difficult, call it retard tax and get yourself something nice.

    Re: Return Overpayment?

A couple of years ago, I put a light ore up for sale for about 400k and got 4.1 Mil for it. I felt bad for the person, because it was obviously his whole bankroll, given the exact amount was like 4,124,532 gil. So I spent 3 days searching for him and when he finally logged on I travelled half way accross Vana d'iel and gave him back 3.7 Mil. I would have expected him to be overjoyed, but he was like "hmm, ok, gee thanks, cya". I almost wished I had kept it cause he wasn't very appreciative, especially considering I spent 3 days tracking him down, but on the other hand it was the right thing to do, and I didn't have to deal with the guilt of keeping it. I'm sure I'd do the same thing if it happened again today.
