Ya srsly, at least you're not {Bard}, you never get breaks and ppl always complain if you don't meet their standards.

    I do agree that it should at least be something like: {Party}{Do you need it?}{<area>}

I hate getting invites with a party disbanding 5 minutes later ><

At least as a bard you're completely able to ditch a party if they're bad, because you know you're gonna get another invite in five minutes anyways.

Nine times out of ten, a few months later I don't remember why I blisted someone in the first place.

I never do. Generally the only time I get to make new spaces is if the person quits/gets banned, happens often enough since several of mine are casino shouters.

Thankfully haven't had that problem yet. If it took only 3 months to meet 100 people worthy of blist, something would be horribly wrong in Vana'diel.

              I add a lot of /shout spammers. I'm assuming they're the names I don't recognize.

I've blisted many in my time. I do let some people free after a grace period when they should have become less retarded. But the big cases stay in there for life lol.

One thing I love about ffxi is the players. I took WoW out for a spin (Can;t knock it till you tried it and i used to knock a lot) and seems my knocking was well founded, people there are real bastards compared to lovely old FFXI.

Yeah, my experiences with WoW was pretty similar as well. The maturity level as a whole is WAY BEHIND what FFXI offers...

I am really sorry to hear about your bad luck, most FFXI players I have noticed are really good people. Be glad you dont play a game like EQII its a fun game, but the lvl of ppl harassing each other for no reason is very high, not to mention they all cuss back and fourth, and call people names I should not mention here all b/c they can. There is no GM's in this game, and if there are, they are rarely seen and when you report someone you are basically wasting your time b/c nothing happens, I like in FFXI how you can actually talk to a GM and they do something about those rude people, maybe that is why there are way less of that in FFXI than I have noticed in EQII.

But it seems like I'm making a LOT of enemies, and this is not the only job I want to level. I am also trying to level some much less desirable jobs, and I don't want to make enemies on my desirable job that will screw up invites on my undesirable jobs.

I have no hard feelings towards these people, until they provoke me. But I have no idea how to make "No thanks" any less offensive.

But I guess this will fix it: /anon

And campaign all the way to 75. Do people still do skillup parties?

EDIT: Just want to explain that I do enjoy good parties. I don't mind main healing. I will remove harmful statuses as quickly as possible, and will refresh / haste / enfeeble. I am a good player, I have decent gear, and I will give my undivided attention to my party. But I won't sacrifice my fun and put up with jerks just to get to 75.
Well until about Lv60 RDM is usually used as a refresh bot for a WHM. When i refuse an invite I usually go for one of these:

<I'm sorry I'm busy now> <Please forgive me> (I tend to use this for non-English speaking parties to keep things simple and polite and 99% of the time is is replied with "OK <Understood>")

<I'm Sorry>: <Time Remaining>: X <minute> (This is used for obvious reasons and actually is understandable over auto-translate to non-English speakers)

And at least you haven't levelled SCH yet You haven't known stress unless you have levelled BRD or SCH. SCH is expected to main heal, nuke, enfeeb, buff, cure enfeebs (and somehow do this with RDM or BLM subbed. I don't think I've ever been asked to sub WHM on SCH before) and keep up Helix spells and be expected to use sleep and dispel literally at a moment's notice as well as being able to instantly pull out sleep even though you have to use both Dark Arts and Addendum Black (and prey you have a charge left while doing so) before you can use sleep a target. Usually by that time half of the party is dead.

And to be fair when RDM gets Refresh and Haste it's pretty much an instant invite for you so if you;re in a party just make an excuse and leave. Chances are you'll be invited for something within 10 mins and you can still do Campaign (though Campaign's exp for mages sucks and you can't skill up from it but free exp is free exp) and Beseiged (awesome for skill ups of any kind. I capped Divine Magic and Enhancing Magic on my 60WHM with a week of beseiged) while you wait.

People do skill up parties. I get weapon skill ups by helping out BLUs in my LS. I help them get spells and they tank for me so I can get club skill ups. I find that duoing skill ups is always more fun than soloing skill ups too purely because you have someone there to talk to and stop you from getting bored.
