    Help! POL-1106.

    Hi. Ever since I downloaded the March 10th update recently, I've been getting "POL-1106: Network is busy or there are connection problems. Please try again later or verify that cables, networking devices, and network settings are properly configured."

    Is there any way to fix this problem?

    I got the same thing, I don't know what I did exactly but it was some glitch with the download. I just closed the program and reopened and everything worked fine. I also closed Xfire which was tied to it, so that may have been why (I use it o run the program) If you have any outside things like windower or xfire try closing them or taking them out of the directory until you get it up and running.

        Thats the message that Square's servers feed you when too many people are attempting to download something. It normally means the server is congested. Wait about 30 minutes, and then try again. That will probably work.

            You could always try doing a File check. I'd scan POL and follow with FFXI. If you detect any problems let it repair them and see if that does anything. Also, Are you running Vista? That might be a problem as well.

              Yes I am running Vista. And I ran the game perfectly before the update; and yes I downloaded the vista POL client thing.

              How do I do a "file check"?

                In the main menu of Playonline about four options down theres a file check button. (Before you put in your password) Click on that, and scan POL for any bad files. If it detects a bad file, it will tell you after the scan. Afterwards, an update will take place in which you download un-corrupt versions of said files. If that doesnt work, I recommend uninstalling/reinstalling POL and getting all the most recent updates.

                  No problems were found.

                  If i rienstall, does that mean I have to enter all of my information again? Because I have my current POL account on saved password, ect.
