  • Campaign Point Calculation

Someone in my LS just pointed this out. Thought it might be useful for those who haven't seen it yet.

    http://wiki.bluegartrls.com/Campaign_Point_Calculation

    Basic Knowledge
    • Magic Resist gets points added.
    • Doing something to a non-allied tag member/enemy = 0 points.
    • Miss or No Effect on PC/NPC = 0 points.
    • Total EXP rounded to nearest 5 points?
    • Exp/Region points calculated by each category listed below.
    • Depending on time spent in battle there is a cap (if you decide to stop battle when it's not finished).
    • If your level is low there is a penalty to EXP earned at end/finished.

    Category/Point list

It is currently understood that you get the following points for the following actions:
    • Buffs (to yourself)
      • 20 points per buff
      • 150 points cap
      • Buff abilities also count, doesn't have to be spell only.
    • Buffs to Other PC & NPC
      • 10 points per buff
      • 300 points cap
    • Buffs (Songs)
      • 20 points x (# of members in party)
      • 300 points cap
    • Debuff/Weakness Spells
      • 15 points per action
      • 300 points cap
      • Dia/Bio does not count, they are considered as given damage on first spell hit.
    • Auto-attack
      • 5 points per hit turn (two handed weapon/duel wield only counts as 5 max even hitting more than once per turn)
      • 150 points cap
    • Skillchain
      • 20 points
      • 300 points cap
      • Does not make a difference if it's level 1 or 2 skillchain, however there is no info yet on level 3.
    • Physical Damage Given
      • 10% of Damage Given (100 damage = 10 points)
      • Seems like there is a cap depending on region, seems like 750 max, not sure yet.
    • Magic Damage Given
      • 10% of Damage Given (100 damage = 10 points)
      • Infinite? (possible cap depending on region)
      • Seems like it is considered as different category from physical damage
    • Damage Taken
      • 10% of Damage Taken (100 damage = 10 points)
      • Infinite?
      • If you are over killed by a monster you still get that much damage worth of points (2000 damage = 200 points)
    • Healing/Curing
      • 10% of total Cure
      • 500 points cap
    • Raise
      • 20 points each raise
      • Infinite?
    • Attacking Enemy Fort (unknown)
      • 20 points
      • 200 points max
    • Player Death
      • -30 points
      • Infinite?

Cannot get points for the following actions:
    • Regular - Weapon Skill, Range Attack, Pet Commands
      • Any damage given by these are considered as Physical Damage Given category, if spell then Magic Damage Given.
    • MP Healing
    • Dia Spells - Dia, Dia II, Dia III
      • First damage given by the spell goes under Magic Damage Given
    • Bio Spells - Bio, Bio II, Bio III
      • First damage given by the spell goes under Magic Damage Given

Total cap on points depending on time:
    Penalties given by Levels
    • 1 - 15 = gets only 20% of total EXP possible
    • 16 - 30 = gets only 40% of total EXP possible
    • 31 - 45 = gets only 60% of total EXP possible
    • 46 - 60 = gets 80% of total EXP possible
    • 61+ = gets 100% of total EXP possible

    Re: Campaign Point Calculation

"MP Healing?" Does that mean stuff like Aspir and Refresh, or is it just resting (in which case, it would be erroneous, as HP is recovered as well during resting)?

Wow, good stuff! I'm glad there's finally a good general idea of what you get points for.

Pretty sure it means resting for MP since that's a standard action anyone can do.

Well you don't get points for that in any situation, I don't see why Campaign would be any different. It would really suck if you lose points for MP resting though. -.-

            Re: Campaign Point Calculation

Now that Aksannyi said it, it would make more sense if it was referring to healing one's MP via Refresh or Aspir. For one, it's obvious you wouldn't get anything for resting, and it's not-so-obvious you don't get any for healing someone else's MP, as opposed to healing their HP, which you do get points for.

Second off, if they really were referring to resting, then why didn't they just say "Resting" or even just plain "Healing," instead of specifically "MP Healing?"

                  Re: Campaign Point Calculation

Wouldn't Aspir be counted as magic damage, and Refresh be counted as a buff? If so, then MP healing would be considered regular healing, which makes sense for not getting any points. It would suck for someone to get xp just for resting the entire thing, while you're out there working hard...

. . . No. "Magic Damage" = Damage given with Magic, ispo ergo Fire III. Not to Magic, like Aspir.

Though, they could be one in the same. I'm not sure: I've never used Aspir.

Nothing seems wrong with that logic.

I guess so, then. I just thought it would be a bit obvious that somebody resting wouldn't get points. Plus, using the term "MP" in specific is also erroneous, despite the fact that may be the most common reason one may rest.

I thought "MP healing" would about Chivalry and Devotion. (Only?)

Doesn't make sense not to get points for those, however. *shrug*

I would still consider Apsir magic damage though -- it's not damaging the mobs HP, but their MP. And, since it would be done via a spell, Magic Damage. Perhaps something to ask for clarity, if anyone can or would be willing to.

Then what's the point in putting this in the Cannot get points category. All that does is contradict itself.

Regular - Weapon Skill, Range Attack, Pet Commands

                          * Any damage given by these are considered as Physical Damage Given category, if spell then Magic Damage Given.

I still think SE needs to raise the points given for support actions (and nuking) so that we don't end up with another melee-fest like Besieged is.

Today I saw four orcs being tanked simultaneously right next to each other so I let fly with the low-tier -Ga spells. Didn't get hate and managed more total damage output than with single target nukes. And, you know, AoE is fun. Broke 1k exp for that fight, which is unusual for me.
