Re: Noob question - Better way to heal?
ThanksOriginally posted by WovenDarkness View PostAs was stated, there really isn't a very cost effective way to heal yourself faster. Just take a knee and rest up. Save your money for weapons and armor.
I started the game in Jan '07. As you did, I started as a war, with the same thinking that you did. I took my subjobless warrior down to Valkurm Dunes at something like lvl 13 and started tanking. I learned the basics of tanking there from more experienced players. I also pissed some people off...but hey, that's the nature of learning something new(sh!t happens...), and Valkurm Dunes is a great place to get all the mistakes out of the way.
It won't be long and you'll have a sub job. Choose monk. :wink : I chose whitemage(I had *zero* clue). While that was fine for a little bit, I stopped getting party invites because of my subjob....unless they were absolutely desperate for a tank... Trust me...don't do this.
As far as learning the game, your going to be learning this thing for a long time. Never stop learning. Oh, and learn to skillchain...early.
Hey, welcome to the game and enjoy!!!
.... Skillchain?

Thanks,Originally posted by IfritnoItazura View PostThere is no bad main job. Well, maybe PUP in the past, but that's been fixed.
To befriend someone, the command is /befriend <person's name>
Some monsters would give up if you run too far (not sure about all), some will lose track of you if you run across water (Crawlers). In general, it's a good idea to check the strength of the monster (/check) before you try to fight one.
So some loose aggro some dont? ok humm that kinda sucks so if you get aggro some a mob higher and you are going to die just take your lumps and die.

Also does that person have to be online for you to add them?

Re: Noob question - Better way to heal?
You are saying Sub do you mean that Warrior is not a good main job?
Also 2 more questions
1. How do you add friends?
2. If i am attacking a mob and the fight does not look to be in my favor is there a way i can "run away" and it loose aggro and not me die?
------------------------------------------
Also why sometimes do my next swings take forever to swing? Sometimes the mob gets 3 to 4 hits on me before my next swing.

Re: Noob question - Better way to heal?
As an aside, it's also nice in the fact that you're not stuck with your job choice forever like in other MMOs; if you grow tired of Warrior, just go to your Mog House and change your job.

Yep, its a good sub for most any DD job, and you'll get to experience all the basics playing it. Good luck.

Re: Noob question - Better way to heal?
Sweet thanks alot sorry for the nub questions just trying to find a new MMO homeOriginally posted by Caspian View PostNot really. There are potions, but they're not cost effective. Just get signet and kill everything you run across. Don't try killing anything higher than Tough, and even that is probably pushing it. Stick mostly with even matches and decent challenges.
Also side question - Warrior a good pick to level with? i mean to learn about the game and all?

Thanks
