The first thing you are going to need to do in this event is talk to the moogles in one of the three starting nations. You will be given an initialled egg. You can do this once a day to collect letters. If you are in a party, you will e given the option to choose a letter(one of your parties initials).
You can also collect eggs once per day by trading in certain "normal" eggs, bird eggs, lizaard eggs etc. Some in stacks, some individually.
You will also find eggs while participating in HELM activities (harvesting, excavating, mining, logging) and chocobo digging (uncertain if this is only whilst wearing the egg helm).
The aim is to collect the first three letters of your name. Once you have done this, trade the three eggs to the event moogle to recieve an Egg Helm. (if you are in a party when you talk to the moogle and the initial you choose belongs to someone wearing an egg helm, you will recieve the first two letters of their name)
Once you have completed this task, begin collecting letters in order to complete a Seven of a kind, 8 in a row, element of the day or region name combination.
Seven of a kind
Collect seven of the same letter. This will give you a fortune egg.
Eight in a row
Collect letters starting with your initial through the alphabet for eight letters. This will give you a happy egg.
Element of the day
Hand in FIRE on firesday etc. This will give you an orphic egg.
Regional control
Hand in the first five letters of a region controlled by the nation you want the furniture piece for. If bastok controls the region gustaberg, hand in GUSTA, you will recieve the bastokan furniture piece. If you hand in the name of a region conrolled by a nation you already have the furniture piece for, you will recieve the Jeunoan piece jeweled egg.
