Need some explaning!!!!!

I am wondering what the draw of RMT's are to people. I am not advicating these actions in any way, but am courious as to why someone feels the need to have 100,000,000 gill at 1 time. Other than the people making real money from this practice, why would anyone spend real money for an abstract thing. Since we are already paying $13/month for access after we put out $60(at least for x-box) to buy the game, why would anyone spend real money for something you can get for free in the game(why are they equating game money with real money?)

A concern: how can SE ban someone's account for non RMT activity just because someone bought something from a bazaar. Last night alone I sold 6 stacks of crystals in 1hr(all from leveling my BST). Does that mean I could get banned because some RMT bought something from me. Since I have no way of doing a "background check" on every transaction I perform, how can I be required to know if the Gill is from legit sources? Along the same line, what happens if in the past we had a RMT buy something from us. Since the most gill I've had at 1 time has been 125,000 I probably don't have anything to worry about, BUT YOU NEVER KNOW!!!!!!!

Making gil takes time. Buying gil is just that: it saves time. Whatever the buyer's reason is.

About selling things on Bazaar, I can't explain that. It will be S-E who has to explain it.

People pay for virtual characters in virtual worlds, and they'll gladly pay for virtual money for those virtual characters in those virtual worlds. Sure, it's a waste, against the rules, ruins the economy, but they could be doing worse with it.

Maybe it is just me, but I don't find making gil a chore. I actually enjoy making gil ingame

No really, I find it fun and exciting when I find a new niche to exploit (exploit as in use it till it dry kind, not the cheat kind. . . .) for gil.

Maybe its because I experienced "end" game in another MMO and I'm not rushing to end game in this game. From reading the forums, FFXI end game seems like its one endless merit grind. . . . . . . . don't think I'll be do that anytime soon

anyway, if people didn't think of making gil as a chore, RMT wouldn't stand a chance. Who would pay some one to do something they enjoy?

The excuse most people use it the time it takes to make gil vs real life money. A single day's work can earn enough cash to buy several million gil, something most of people can't do ingame.

Unless its an unusual transaction there's no reason to worry. You aren't going to get banned because someone involved in RMT buy something from you unless it looks like it was used as a method of transfering money from one account to another. If you sold an earth crystal for 10 million gil or something then you might attract some susspicion but apart from that you have nothing to worry about.
