I actually found myself staggered today when I logged in. There were 10 (or so) new members I didn't recognize. On top of the 25 members I do know, I'm impressed at our numbers as of right now. I think I'm going to have to go back on my original plan of making EVERYONE a sack holder. We have 1 or 2 members who simply throw pearls at anyone below level 20 or anyone walking around with no SJ.

I love having a large shell, but most of these new guys just think we're a social and don't understand what we're there to do. Once they find out from one of the senior members that we're a HELP LS (wicked bad description by the way), they start to bombard me with infinate requests for help. Some things they ask for are simple... some are retarded to even bring up... and others still make me want to /facepalm.

Starting tomorrow morning, I'm stripping Sackholders of their sacks and limiting it to myself and 5 or so others. It's nothing personal, I just want to make sure that we take in quality people... and maintain at least a small pseudo-screening process.

Anyone is still welcome to join, but I want them to understand what our LS is before they do.

Both of you are welcome to join us on Valefor. We're more than happy to accept returning players into the group. We have many people in the shell who are getting their bearings back... so you would be in good company. We have recently expanded our numbers by a crazy amount, so you'll be joined by players from all different time zones.

Let us know if you're interested and we'll have someone come out to meet you and get you aquainted.

Also: To Aks and Murph: Way to be team players... especially Aks... since you don't even actually play, lol.

Thought I would ask about what has changed as well. I recently re-subscribed to FFXI. Last time I played was in 2008.

I read that the level cap was 90 now?!?! I don't know much else except that the Abyss area is where everyone is at.

We're a pretty awesome group of folks. Helpful and friendly, though our senses of humor are...interesting? We are happy to help with any and every thing, but we do not hold your hand. If you're looking for a fast trip to 90, this isn't the place. Still, we are happy to get to 90 with you.

When is the last time you played FFXI? Knowing that will help people to illustrate how much the game has changed in the interim. I stopped in 2009 and came back recently, and man, it is very different.
