        Hayllihallo Sehi

VRS always contacts the server of the VRS site in the internet for confirmation.
If your firewall is blocking that procedure the login for Guest doesn't work.

Did you have the login problems already before you redownloaded VRS?

          Re: textures Mess up

Sometimes, for whatever reason, the VRS server just wont connect. Usually if you wait a few minutes it will work again.

However, I have had times when I couldn't connect for a few days before. The username/password IS Guest / Guest

If your not on dialup, and have access to your modem and router, try resetting them. That worked for me a few times. (Just turn off their power, wait 5 seconds, and turn it back on.)

Is this the error message you're getting?

I told my firewall to block VRS's access to the internet and got this.

Yeah, thats totally it...but why would my firewall all of a sudden start blocking it?

                      Re: textures Mess up

I have no idea why your firewall would block it. If you are just using the builtin windows firewall, then this most likely isn't a firewall issue. That firewall doesn't block outgoing things as far as I can tell.

If you have a firewall other than the one built into Windows, make sure its set to allow VRS.

If you are just using the Windows firewall, go to the control pannel. In classic view, just go to "Windows Firewall." In the Catagory view, go to "Network and Internet Connections," then "Windows Firewall." Next go to the exceptions tab and make sure VRS is checked. If its not there, try manually adding.

Other than that, the only other things I can think of currently to suggest are; make sure you're running the newest version. Can be obtained here. Also, if you changed versions you might need to do this.

If that doesn't solve your problem, well, I think I might be out of suggestions.
