N. Gustaberg (s)
10-14 DNC/MNK
Tunnel Worms DC/EM
An abundance of these mobs especially if you just roam and kill them all quickly. Fairly squishy but Gastric Bomb slowed things down when I'd get it.
14-15 (ducked back to old areas since it got pretty slow here on the worms)
N. Gustaberg (s)
16-18 DNC/WAR (yes i know, no h2h? besides needing to skill up dagger, it seemed like it moved along better than h2h once it capped, which it did quickly)
Vultures DC/EM/T
I know saying you can chain these T-EM-EM isn't really fair since I was on DNC, but these mobs were reasonably well provided you had a method of healing.
Both of these do not require C.A. warp, but should have the Maw for N. Gustaberg (S). Starting from the area right at the Bastok Markets (S) zone and roaming an east-west sweep across the bridge works well. (more for the birds than the worms. theres a large concentration of them immedeately outside the gates but are past the bridges, if not as dense.)
Used att food Meat Jerky.
Sigil: Regen/Food Duration (yes, I am that stingy >.>)
I apologize for not having xp/hour but I can say I very regularly got at least 2 levels a session in comfortable casual play. Better than the headache from the dunes anyway.
I keep trying to get folks from my ls to come out and try these as a lower level/dunes alternative and get no bites :s Last edited by fencingkitty : 12-12-2007 at 09:54 AM. Also, Carby did absolutely NO damage to them whatsoever, although the Poison effect from Poison Claws did do damage.
After the Carby fiasco I used Ifrit and Garuda on them, it seems like the elemental tier II magic seemed to deal more damage than the physical blood pacts, Aero II > Claw and so on.

- Target Mob: Colibri
- Checked: T+
- Difficulty: Varied, most mobs were killed comfortably, but a few provided a real challenge.
- Other mobs in area: Pixie, Scarab Beetle
- EXP per hour (with Empress Band): 5.5k+ / hr
- Rating: Probably could have started a level earlier here - good camp
- Campaign Warp: Not neccessary
- Miscellany: These Colibri act like Lesser Colibri - do not link, do not aggro, do not mimic magic.

- Alittle too early. I came here as a duo with the NIN at 16 the day before as a NIN/WHM and DRG/WHM combo and we destroyed this place. The worms hit kind of hard if they get through shadows. Depending on the group size 15-16 is better. Solo maybe 17-19 depending on the job.
- Recommended, it literally puts you at the worms. Only thing to watch out for is a random Goblin that will literally 1 shot you if you come in the recommended level range.
I know this has been mentioned before but I thought I'd put it again.
Has anyone found a good camp for 3-4 people from 18-24? We hit up Korroloka Tunnel and although it's still good for our range(we all hit 19 tonight) we'd rather fight in the past for the Sigil buffs to increase our xp/hr. Avoiding the Dunes has made us happy on these noob jobs and we'd like to keep that up through Qufim and maybe Kazham. Server: Hades -Cleverness, Hume, 62RDM/37WHM/27NIN/20SMN/18BLU/18BLM/10PLD/7SCH

I need to go have a look a the Biddybugs there a bit later, though I do know they aggro 75s by sight.

Looks viable so long as you keep the stray ladybugs clear.
Ladybugs do have AoE Amnesia, not as fun as the colibri, but another comprable level target close at hand. I did play with the ladybugs there on 65 BST. Sending them against the colibri, they seemed to be on the same level. Good possible BST camp, too, that Amnesia would good against colibri when it takes. I'd say 42-44ish BST could do well here.
Friendly neighborhood pixie is plus to this camp, too. | I can confirm this. Party Setup:
Red Mage
Summoner
Paladin
Ranger
Dark Knight
Dancer
We averaged around about 4 - 5k exp per hour, went from 40 - 42 If I remember correctly, using an Empress Band. Pixie's passing by will often throw a single Cure IV / V (Cant remember which) your way, which is always nice. We also went a while without the Dancer, still went smoothly. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 03-26-2008, 08:37 AM | #23 (permalink) | | Personafied FFXIWiki Team Join Date: May 2006 Location: Windurst Posts: 4,192 Style: Light - Version 6 My Mood: Thanks: 141 Thanked 1,100x in 611 Posts Gil: 10,393 Bank: 5 Total Gil: 10,397 Donate | Re: By the level: WotG Zones, post your findings here Good so that's really a nice CN Secret Room/Revelation Rock alternative camp. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 03-26-2008, 09:15 AM | #24 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: Tamworth ~ UK Posts: 6 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 560 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 560 Donate | Re: By the level: WotG Zones, post your findings here Yup.
We started off just past the point you are warped to, but did at some points have to move further up the map as we were killing off the mobs faster than they can respawn.
However, at night time be wary of undead. Although suprisingly easy to kill for a party of 5, they can still be a nuissance. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 05-13-2008, 01:28 PM | #25 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: May 2008 Posts: 40 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 1,552 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 1,552 Donate | Re: By the level: WotG Zones, post your findings here Rolanberry Fields [s]

I was level 56 PUP at the time, and I really can't be too sure whereabouts on the map it was but the berry grubs checked as DC to me and I could kill them fairly quickly. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 06-16-2008, 01:18 AM | #26 (permalink) | | Knowledge Vending Machine Join Date: Sep 2005 Location: Bastok Mines Posts: 626 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 98 Thanked 75x in 44 Posts Gil: 300 Bank: 18,453 Total Gil: 18,753 Donate | Re: By the level: WotG Zones, post your findings here We recently scouted out the precise level range for these grubs (49-52). They're nicely suitable as a pre-Rumble Crawler camp. Extrapolating from the level recommendations on campsitarus/VB, I'd say it's suitable for full parties in the 41-45 range. I've posted what we know about it to VB's feedback forum, but I fear the site may be mostly dead.
Maybe we should start posting pages on xp camps to the wiki?
I've also corrected the overly-wide level range listed for this mob on the wiki. Kumei, pickpocket of Midgardsormr (Bastok, Rank 7)
