This page on The Empire of Aht Urhgan from the wiki can help get you up to speed. It may not explain evevv~rything though but poke around and you can find a lot about ToAH. |

Is salvage still widely done? I know a lot of people started doing it, but don't hardly do it as much anymore. I'm guessing Nyzul Isle assaults played a role in that.

salvage is still done (at least, we're still doing it in my linkshell) but it's really more for the challenge in all honesty (gear is *amazing* too) but let's be honest, Salvage isn't exactly a casual event. 1) requires constant upkeep (at least 2 successful assaults a week to go dying for 100 minutes) 2) has no incidental rewards (all those lvl15/25/35 pieces are going to players with those jobs at 75 for a long time.) 3) many aspects of the raid are still poorly understood - several pieces haven't even gotten confirmed drops and pop conditions for some that are confirmed are.. obtuse at best. nyzul is more popular because it's basically free (costing a tag and costing 'marks' you earn via doing nyzul.) has a much better incidental drop setup, and requires 12 fewer people. it's also an opportunity to see 'Fafnir' red-named without having to buy into the Kings scene.
