You can get there via the basement of the Chateau in Sandy!
Seriously though, there are many, many zones worth checking out for their beauty alone. You should just pull up FFXIAtlas, and explore as much as you can! :D
Oh, and don't actually go to the Obliette alone and at your level. You'll die horribly. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 01-18-2007, 09:16 AM | #3 (permalink) | | The Architect Brain of Knowledge Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: Lincoln, UK Posts: 1,096 Style: Light - Version 5 My Mood: Thanks: 233 Thanked 138x in 98 Posts Gil: 173 Bank: 184,500 Total Gil: 184,674 Donate | Re: Cool spots to c I love the mushrooms (i.e. spore hollow in jugner forest, the flower garden at the chateau in sandy, Zi-tah is nice as well O and promies, i just love the sci-fi wasteland feel and music Brickshouse - The returning Galka. Plus, it is fun to watch the fishies swim and the octupus crawl along the mystical barrier
FWIW I think our LS will hold all of our meetings there from now on. I just don't think that zone can be beat in terms of beauty.

(if you can get there alive) is hall of the gods. I go there whenever I just feel like sitting somewhere. In terms of most-favorite zones....
1. Lufaise Meadows (variety of mobs)
2. Hall of the Gods (no mobs)
3. Oldton Movalpolis (moderately leveled mobs
4. Ro'maeve (dangerous to all levels)
5. Sanctuary of Zitah (moderate leveled mobs)
6. Ronfaure (safe)
7. Arrapeggo Reef (will aggro regardless of level)
8. Castle Zhavl (dangerous)
9. Mhaura
10. Aydeewa Subterrain (will aggro regardless of level)
There's many more that I could list, but to me, these 10 are the most amazing places to visit, from my experience. Dragon's Aery (extremely high aggro rate, even to 75) has a very pretty pond guarded by a Demonic Rose.
Kazham (love the sparkly flowers at night).
The Manaclipper ride through Maliyakaleya Reef has some really stunning coral reefs.
Last but definitely not least...
By FAR the coolest zone in the game is Empyreal Paradox, which is the final battle arena for the Chains of Promathia storyline. I believe anyone who has completed Chains of Promathia will agree with me on this.

Also, I really like the tunnel in Tu'lia, right when you zone in. The translucent bridge is really cool.
Just to reiterate, Alzadaal is awesome. I stood in the room with the Runic Portal and watched the window for like 20 minutes one time. People who say the graphics suck in this game are nuts.
