Ok, there have been many excellant final fantasy scores all throughout Vana'diel. My question to you would be: So far, what is your favorite song, thus far?
Mine would be Oldton Movopolis. It has a really cool mine-feel to it. It's nice relaxing music to listen to while I'm mining down there. :D Last edited by Mog : 06-20-2006 at 10:29 PM. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 06-20-2006, 10:18 PM | #2 (permalink) | | Member Join Date: Feb 2003 Posts: 536 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 2 Thanked 7x in 5 Posts Gil: 2,026 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 2,026 Donate | Re: What's your favorite FFXI world-area song (music)? yeah oldton is nice. i haven't finished CoP so i don't know all the areas music but i like altepa the best i guess. i just love to think arabian nights(now i can in whitegate) | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 06-20-2006, 10:19 PM | #3 (permalink) | | J...atatouille Super Moderator Join Date: Dec 2002 Posts: 8,338 Style: Light - Version 5 My Mood: Thanks: 5 Thanked 137x in 107 Posts Gil: 32,840 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 32,840 Donate | Re: What's your favorite FFXI world-area song (music)? FFXI Musics are not by Npobuo tho right? Composer is Naomi or something? There are painters who transform the sun into a yellow spot,
but there are others who with the help of their art and their intelligence
transform a yellow spot into the sun.

Nope, he composed some of the music for 11. I checked on gamefaqs and his personal site. http://www.square-enix-usa.com/uemat...ile/index.html | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 06-20-2006, 10:27 PM | #5 (permalink) | | Junior Member Administrator Join Date: Dec 2003 Posts: 4,931 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 235 Thanked 683x in 348 Posts Gil: 30,460 Bank: 87,750 Total Gil: 118,210 Donate | Re: What's your favorite FFXI world-area song (music)? Uematsu has left SE as an employee. He works independently now, though SE does hire him for some projects (FF:AC for instance). I though the sound tracks for FFXI were done by the Tactics people. Not that that's a bad thing. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 06-20-2006, 10:28 PM | #7 (permalink) | | King of the Oompa Loompas Oracle of Knowledge Join Date: Nov 2005 Posts: 3,407 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 10 Thanked 124x in 100 Posts Gil: 31,556 Bank: 73,047 Total Gil: 104,603 Donate | Re: What's your favorite FFXI world-area song (music)? He did the opening theme, ronfaure, prelude, the airship music, recollection, anxiety, hopelessness, sorrow, "sometime, somewhere", despair, and repression. So 11 of the 51 tracks. The rest are by Kumi Tanioka or Naoshi Mizuta. That's according to the ID3 tags on these original soundtrack mp3s I'm looking at. - | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 06-20-2006, 10:33 PM | #9 (permalink) | | King of the Oompa Loompas Oracle of Knowledge Join Date: Nov 2005 Posts: 3,407 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 10 Thanked 124x in 100 Posts Gil: 31,556 Bank: 73,047 Total Gil: 104,603 Donate | Re: What's your favorite FFXI world-area song (music)? | Originally Posted by Taskmage | | He did the opening theme, ronfaure, prelude, the airship music, recollection, anxiety, hopelessness, sorrow, "sometime, somewhere", despair, and repression. Ronfaure and the airship songs are excellant pieces of music, IMO. He's a great composer. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 06-21-2006, 12:11 AM | #10 (permalink) | | RANK 5 IS BULLSHIT! Area's music I like best as is: Aydeewa Subterrane; although I think that's partially the fact that the first time we heard that song, they announced Puppetmaster. Although it was kind of a let-down, the pure energy in the room when they showed that was amazing.
Area i'd most like to see music for: Riverne. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 06-21-2006, 12:13 AM | #11 (permalink) | | Junior Member Administrator Join Date: Dec 2003 Posts: 4,931 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 235 Thanked 683x in 348 Posts Gil: 30,460 Bank: 87,750 Total Gil: 118,210 Donate | Re: What's your favorite FFXI world-area song (music)? I like the music an Aydeewa, but it's so laid back. When I was partying there with my rdm, my party decided to fight this Qiqirn, and the battle was crazy. Bombs going everywhere, people running all over the room trying to corner the little bastard. But I, not engaged, was hearing that peaceful music that was so wrong for what was going on and it really threw off my rhythm. - | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 06-21-2006, 12:35 AM | #12 (permalink) | | Fence Sitter Brain of Knowledge Join Date: May 2006 Location: UK Posts: 1,342 Style: Dark - Version 5 Thanks: 53 Thanked 91x in 68 Posts Gil: 4,718 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 4,718 Donate | Re: What's your favorite FFXI world-area song (music)?
