I am currently leveling WHM to 37 to sub for MNK for endgame reasons. I am totally new to WHM and I was wondering which magic skills I should work on capping at 37 (I'm not taking WHM to 75). Thanks for the help.

Just out of curiousity, why would you ever use MNK/WHM? For endgame, you'll probably be using /war, /nin, or the occasional /drk for all of the lucky kraken club owners out there, but /WHM? I don't see the use of that in endgame unless you're just talking about soloing and chi-blasting.

For white mage up to 37, all you really have to worry about is curing your party members, protect, shell, bar-spells when needed, and -na spells. Healing and Enhancing magic skills are what you'll really need when leveling.

I can't imagine that you'd need any of the WHM magic skills as MNK/WHM (nor do I see many uses for MNK/WHM period at endgame, even as a member of a very successful HNMLS for the past 4 years).

Realistically the only skill that would even matter would be Enhancing Magic, for boosting Barspell potency and Stoneskin potency.

But honestly it's not that big a deal either way.

MNK/WHM endgame pretty much means chi blast build... unless it's for some special low man strat where you need to heal yourself or something... for 37 sub, I wouldn't worry too much about skills as a MNK unless like Icemage said, you want to max out stoneskin or something...

i'm wondering if it is possible to get more MND out of subbing BLU and setting only spells that give you +MND. i am at work so i can't see how many +MND spells there are available at sub level and if it would add more than subbing whm.
