Does MND directly affect MP pool?
What stat wise affects MP pool besides the obvious of gear that has +MP?

Re: Does MND directly affect MP pool?
Nothing.

MND reflects the potency of your casting... it doesn't give you extra MP, or any other stats. Only equipment and food give extra MP.

But I'm not a mage so I could be wrong. >.<

+/-MP effects MP pool. That's it.

Re: Does MND directly affect MP pool?
You are correct Eomer.

Base MP is effected only by the Race and Current Main+Sub jobs, and there are only 4 ways I know to increase base MP, one permanent and the others temporary.

1. Food
2. Equipment (I call this temporary because when you remove the equip the MP+ is gone)
3. Items (I know of only one, and that's in besieged)
4. Merits (This is the permanent one)

Don't forget the Max MP Bonus job trait from smn, /smn or blu. Each trait seems to add 10 mp.

Re: Does MND directly affect MP pool?
In another mmorgp known as Everquest, Wisdom did affect your mana pool and increased it by a certain #. But in FF11, MND has no affecte on it whatsoever. If EQ is what you were thinking of.
