I shouted for a Teleport and the WHM who offered performed a neat little trick. I ended up alone (o.O) in Xarcabard, while he stayed behind in Jeuno.
I just thought I'd share with all White Mages who perform Teleporting services.
At 75% of his casting, he zoned...
That's it. :D
I don't know how CLOSE he was to the zone (Mog House in this case), but feel free to experiment. Saves you the trouble to Teleporting yourself as well, and having to Warp back. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | The following user says "Thank You" to Eohmer for above post: | | | 02-06-2007, 09:12 AM | #2 (permalink) | | Altanaの戦士 Keeper of Knowledge Join Date: May 2006 Location: Fenrir Server Posts: 2,827 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 133 Thanked 324x in 208 Posts Gil: 190 Bank: 121,700 Total Gil: 121,890 Donate | Re: Teleporting trick... Tele-taxists have been doing this since before I started playing though (almost 3 years ago).
But it's still is a nice trick if you tele someone near zone. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 02-06-2007, 09:16 AM | #3 (permalink) | | Dr. Tran Brain of Knowledge Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: Los Angeles, Ca. She ends up where she casts everytime. There are painters who transform the sun into a yellow spot,
but there are others who with the help of their art and their intelligence
transform a yellow spot into the sun.

I have it perfected. I stand right next to the zone line and as soon as my toon's hand raises (from spell cast), I run to the zone. I usually have it so close that he takes no more than three steps to zone.
This is most useful in situations where I am teleporting somebody but I want to stay where I am.
Example: I'm in Sandy doing WW guild items, someone is shouting Teleport-Mea 10k, but my HP is in Aht Urhgan. I want to stay in Sandy to finish my work, but I'd also like to collect an easy 10k. I meet them at the nearest zone, collect my money, do this trick, and be on my merry way.

I like to joke that I'm going to start a BLM teleport service.

It is a pretty useful trick...however I didn't know about it until a friend told me, very nice when you have lots of competition for teleports.
However, It's kind of a bother trying it in Whitegate. It's so laggy outside the Mog House, sometimes it messes up and I get teleported anyways, or I go too early trying to beat the lag and end up just zoning | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 02-06-2007, 02:23 PM | #11 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: May 2006 Posts: 253 Style: Light - Version 4 Thanks: 3 Thanked 21x in 14 Posts Gil: 13,660 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 13,660 Donate | Re: Teleporting trick... I know someone who leveled his mule to 42Whm/21Blm, got all the scrolls for the Holla, Mea, Dem, Yhoat, Altep and Xarcabard and just never got the Tele-Crystal. He doesn't even have to bother with zoning or such.... that's just a bit farther than I think most would take it, but it works for his tele'ing purposes, which is the only reason he leveled his mule to 42 in the first place XD | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 02-20-2007, 08:36 PM | #13 (permalink) | | Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Posts: 813 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 44 Thanked 18x in 13 Posts Gil: 4,701 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 4,701 Donate | Re: Teleporting trick... Still doesn't make sense though since the first (interrupted) one won't do anything to him. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | All times are GMT -8.
