Like all Maat fights you will need to be equip somewhat a certain way, and use medicne. I only took 72 damage from maat's regular attacks. Won on first try. After redoing the maat fight a couple times post 70 I'm beginning to suspect it is more a matter of surviving a certain amount of time in combat against him than a cure amount. This last time I won and hadn't cast a cure in 20 seconds. I had actually casted very little the whole fight because I was using regens and stoneskins.

I think Maat gave up on frustration for me.
Terra staff+ bat earrings/eva stuff + blind potion, on and standard jse ring. I had capped eva so Maat pick the wrong mode to Asuran fist me.

I don't know, just a thought.

Buffed up before engaging, of course. Diaga to wipe his Blink, Holy to wipe his Stoneskin, then hit him with Paralyze and Slow.
Beat on him a bit for TP. Got him down to about 2/3 life while doing so.
Stuck him with a Dia II, then Black Halo->Icarus Wing->Hexa Strike. The Light skillchain did enough damage that he gave up -- he didn't even have a chance to use Benediction.
Then again, I was level 75 when I fought him, so I kinda cheated a bit. All Nations: Rank 10

i used empress hairpin, nobles tunic, and light gauntlets, and af pants/feet. wore 2 phanalx rings, medicine earring, drone earring, fortune egg, survival belt, cheviot cape, and had earth staff. (some of the gear i borrowed for a friend)
entered bcnm, buffed to full, ate food, used rink, used regen 3, and pulled with slow.
1. don't cure status ailments other than paralyze and silence
2. use cure 2, cure 3, and if in emergencies cure 5
3. if you're low on mp and out of vile elixirs use hi-potions
4. when stoneskin goes down, use flash
5. haste cuts down recast timers of both stoneskin and flash.
6. starting at the 8 minute mark after entering bcnm, maat will begin spamming weaponskills.
