You join the guild, and then you look up recipies on sites like this, or Somepage.com. And then you craft stuff. Yes, it's just that easy. edit: To elaborate. Here is a list of synth recipies for Clothcraft. And here is a list of desynth recipies. I suppose Chocobo Fletching would be a good way to get to level 2 if nothing else. Or you could make grass thread by desynthing Yagudo Necklaces, and then turn those into cloth. I seem to recall that's what I did once upon a time when I thought about taking up Weaving.

Yeah, I did the "yagudo necklace > grass thread > grass cloth >Hachimaki > Kenpogi" route myself.

What I would suggest: Stuff in the () is what it caps at Yagudo necklace (lvl 1) > Grass thread (lvl 3) > grass cloth (lvl 4) > Cotton thread (lvl 11) > cotton cloth (lvl 12) > linen thread (lvl 19) > linen cloth (lvl 22) or yagudo fletchings (lvl 22) > heko obi (lvl 27) > wool thread (lvl 35) > bird fletchings (lvl 42) > hemp gorget (lvl 43) > insect fletchings (lvl 52) There ya go, a easy and rather profitable way to skillup clothcrafting. Buy from npcs or farm where appropriate. I'd buy the insect wings off the AH, most other stuff i'd just farm or harvest it, like the Saruta cotton for instance. The reason I didn't make any wool cloth is because I decided to sell my wool thread for profit, instead of losing wool threads to skillup breaks. Other handy things to know: Direction to face to increase chance of success: North = dark NE = light E = ice SE =wind S = earth SW = lightning W = water NW = fire Direction to face to increase chance of HQ N = light NE = dark E = wind SE = earth S = lightning SW = water W = fire NW = ice Don't skillup on darksday, or the day of your crystal's weakness, for example you'll get alot of breaks if you are skilling up on Firesday with ice crystals. Synthing in weather seems to give a higher HQ rate if it's the corresponding element to your crystal's weakness, I get alot more HQ beeswax if I synth in rain. |
