Optimal Situation for crafting a Noble's Tunic. Please Advise :)

Greetings,

I recently obtained a Shinning Cloth from Sky.

I intend on having a friend craft the garment, but I was curious about what would be the best time to do it. So, I am seeking some advice.

What is the optimal time to craft for an HQ for Noble's Tunic?

What is the optimal time to craft simply just for success?

For HQ, I'm hearing the following: Full Moon, Lightning's Day, 100 Cap Skill + and mods (preferably Imagery and +2 Guild Items).

For success, I'm hearing: New Moon, Wind's Day, 100 Cap Skill + and Mods (etc., etc.).

In everyone's glorious wisdom, (seeing as how I'm only a cook) are these two situations most effective?

Isn't it an Earth synth? If so, I'd actually reverse the conditions on HQ and success. Incidentally, my experience has been that attempting to HQ also bears a slightly higher chance of critical failures (losing all materials), but I'm guessing that Noble's Tunic is one of those synths that likes to critically fail when it fails no matter what (much the same way that Hakutaku Eye Clusters tend to break all materials when failed).

Most important is that the crafter has clothcraft at least level 98 including advanced support and guild items (Noble tunic is supposed to be a level 87 craft). This alone should give you about 10% chance of HQ.

If I where to do an expensive synth like this I would aim for highest probablility for success. To raise the probability for success I usually craft on the day of the crystal and avoid both full moon and new moon. I'm not sure if this actually helps.

Well.....

Had a friend, who I didn't realize was 99 Clothcrafting, make a Noble's Tunic for me.

99+2+Imagery on Windsday during the Fullmoon.

Was so nervous and edgy, I had to get some beer. ('^^)

Thus, Obtained: Noble's Tunic. But no HQ though. However, I'm not upset at all! lol

One more mountain climbed! .... Now, if I could just get ahold of the rest of the Aquarian set..... pants + crown so far T-T

I finally made our LSs first Aristocrats coat on Friday^^

Aquarian set for WHM? What for? Blessed gear makes Aquarian gear look lame by comparison, aside from slightly higher max MP (which you shouldn't need at level 75 anyway), with the severe cost in HP.

Could be useful as an MP booster at the start of fights, but unless you're packing a Medicine Ring with you, I don't know what you'd do with Aquarian Abjuration/Zenith gear as a WHM. I have two of the abjurations that fell to me by default and I've never bothered to make them into Zenith if for no other reason than I don't have any use for them (though I might if I ever decided to push BLM to 75).

Why's that?

If you believe in moon influence on crafting results, there are two opposite beliefs on if it's new moon or full moon which gives highest success rate for earth crystal synths. To avoid this dilemma I always recomend to avoid both new moon and full moon.
