I got clothcraft to lvl 5.8 today and im just wondering whats the lowest lvl i can expect to make a profit on a synth. And would it be posible to use that profit to fund the rest of the lvling prosess?

ATM im making capes by farming the crystals and getting the thread at the guild, i dont think i lost more than 25k on that recipie ^^.

cooking seems to be the easiest an cheapest to lvl. since more synths go into making other synths to lvl you up. also the materials are the easiest to come by, either by vendor, or by the guild. that really doesnt charge insnely.

Pearl, did you try checking mysterytour for possible synths? I used a guide for woodworking for a while, then just got to the point where I was checking mysterytour for everything I could skill on, and picking those that were easy to come by, most profitable/cheapest to do, and sold the quickest. (crafting items that are used as materials in later crafting levels sell really well and allow you to move your inventory faster).

grass thread/cloth are profitable... yagudo are easy to farm for necklace.

profit at lvl 0 clothcraft, at least on fariy

you can make good profit with level 19
after capes go for hachimaki (get material from guild)
then you will have a money making recipe at level 19

flax flowers * 2 + lightning (~1500 gil) = linen thread (~3000 gil)

my bad, i thought he ment that clothcraft stunk, an he wanted some other crafting options. but i do have to agree, i have found myself desynthing for materials to sell more then anything.

Yeah I'm also going to go with the grass thread/ cloth. You can farm up a ton of it in no time flat in Giddeus.

I got from 10-19 with that recipie and i make a nice profit buying the flowers from the airship store (actualy getting someone else to buy it for me >.>), now all i need pepole to do it to buy my freaking thread/cloth >.<. Cloth sells for 100k/stack


And I also have to lvl leather to 20 cause i want to make my own seers gear and every other armour from lvl 29-75. Its wouldent be soo hard if pepole would just buy the damn thread...

I guess il have to do that, but i wanted to ask first hand before logging in checking ah price then check recipe then check material price then calculating net profit.
