This is an excellent guide, and since sunday I've gotten from 0-37 tonight. The only alternate route I took was Fly Lures instead of Soil Hachimaki's. Doing Velvet Cloth has cost a small fortune, and many failurs aswell, but managed to scrape to 37 tonight >.<

im a lvl 50 RNG and ive sold every single piece of equip i had to scrap out around 1 mil. I know this is very risky, but i plan on using that money to lvl clothcraft as high as i can. Is this a stupid idea or will i be able to make a lot of money at the lvl in which 1 mil will get me to?

I need some help. My clothcraft just hit 80 and I don't have a real recipe to use anymore. I've been synthing Jester's Headbands, but I get like .1 up for every 20 that I synth. That's ridiculous. All the other recipes I can use are dependant on whether that certain peice of equipment is available on AH. I am wondering if there's a recipe I can use that will always have items available to me (like from a vendor and whatnot). It seems like leveling after 80 is just so slow because there is no availability of items. I know you can use the Zealot Mitts recipe that caps at 85 which is very good cost-wise, but it's not like I'm going to see 50 Zealot Mitts on the AH. I only see 2 or 3 at one time. Please help someone ; ;

Try Arhat's Hakama (Spelling may be wrong), it costs like 10 k to synth on my server but sells to npcs for around 4.5k. This can take you to 88 ^_^

Oh my if he was too that he would have to kill the nm hundreds of times as it takes usually anywhere around 30-70 synths for a level at his current level.

The whole point of my post was to find something that will get me up quickly. I don't plan to hang around the NM area asking people if I can buy their Zealot Mitts, lol. I will try the Arhat Hakama recipe... it sounds good.

Is there a good alternative to Silk Headbands? There is a severe lack of Carbon Fibers on my server

For Silk Headbands I found someone with high alchemy to make them in bulk for me - apparently it only cost him 7k to make a stack or so, versus 12k on the AH. I used 10-15 stacks of carbon fiber while doing silk headbands, now that's done i'm looking on what to skill up on next. I'm wondering if anyone has any alternatives on what to synth at skill 69 ? It doesn't need to be npc-sellable, I have 4 mules including one in jeuno. Blk. Chocobo Fletchings on my server only sell for 1k a stack sometimes - which is really really low considering it costs 4.5k to make a stack

Ok, I'm back! The Arhat Hakamas have been really good in skillups. They've been costly as well, but were well worth it now that I'm 88. Anyone have any suggestions as to what to start on next? Also, for the previous post, 69-->72 was costly for me mainly because there wasn't a good recipe. Black Chocobo feathers don't give very good skillup and the price can get costly (especially if you buy it from the vendor). I think there's also some sort of equipment you can synth at the same level, but the price is just less or equal to that of the black chocobo feathers. Plus you have to synth a lot of materials to make the recipe. Black chocobo feathers just make it easier. At 72, I recommend synthing rainbow threads... hope you got a lot of gil to burn here

Rainbow capes to 94? Heh, are you kidding? Rainbow Clothx2 = 80-90k PER synth.

This is my guide from 60+. It is designed for those who want to speed level up to 90+ and yet not burn so much gil: 60-62: Green Ribbons 62-69: Silk Headbands 69-72: Battle Bracers/Black Chocobo Feathers (depending on the availability of items, I would recommend to make Battle Bracers if you can synth your own velvet cloths and buy saruta cotton for cheap. This way you will only be spending about 1-1.5k per synth, as opposed to Black Chocobo feathers that cost around 2200G per synth and don't sell for shit.) 72-78: Rainbow Thread (be prepared to spend a lot of gil here... spider webs aren't cheap. Thankfully though, stacks of rainbow thread sell for a bit more than the actual cost of making them. The higher your skill becomes, the less you will fail, and you'll actually start to make a profit if you decide to sell them.) 78-81: Rainbow Cloth/Jester's Headbands/Devotee's Mitts (the rainbow cloth will likely get you up to 79 if you synth all of them. But I would honestly recommend to sell the stacks because you make more profit that way--and plus, if you fail a synth, it means you may lose 12-36k. You will have to constantly search the AHs for Dodge Headbands and Zealot Mitts in order to get up to 81. It sucks, but anything else will kill your gil supply.) 81-88: Arhat's Hakamas/Devottee's Mitts (you NEED to synth your own materials to make Hakamas, so you will invest many many hours into these. If you do synth your materials, each synth will cost you around 3k. You may fail a little at first, but once you hit 82-83, you should be OK. You can also make an occasional Devottee's Mitts depending on the availability. They are good until 85. 88-90: Corsair's Hat/Bishop's Robe (you may be stuck here for awhile; availability of these items are not that good, but at least you will barely lose any gil, considering the synthed items sell for around the buying price. Hats will cap at 89, btw.) 90-94: Giant Bird Plumes/Elite Berets? (the availability of the plumes suck, and will burn your gil. I am currently stuck here and not sure what to do. On my server, 1 plume costs 10k. You need 2 to make the recipe, so you're looking to spend 20k per synth. I think you can sell a stack of giant bird fletchings for around 20k, so you may only be burning about 10k per synth. Still a lot though. I have not done much research regarding the Elite Berets, but they seem to be a simple recipe. I am not sure of the availability of Pheonix Feathers or War Berets. I will look into this.) More to come later...?
