Ok, got bonecraft to level 8.3. And yeah, they still failed a lot on level 22 and 23, but after that they got a lot better. I got 3 .2s in a row. Up to 25.4 clothcraft now. Hopefully wont need too many more animal glue stacks. Thanks for the recipe. |

Question: How much do Green Ribbons sell for to an NPC? I'm trying to figure out how much money I'll need for those.

Class is in session once again! Please open your books and take out your notes. Also, prepare to feel an extreme lightening of your wallets, because this ones going to cost you. Its time to jump, to Cloth 75! Notes, along with a warning: This session is based on two recipe's that sell infrequently but give back a decent amount of gil from npc's, enough to reduce the damage to your funds by a significant amount. I hope you've farmed a lot and are prepared to keep doing so, as this sessions going to cost a lot. Get silk thread, linen thread, cotton thread and lots and lots of sheep leather. Finally, be prepared to watch your gil go away fast. Have at least 120k+ whenever your start, as you'll chew through that easily before you sell to npc's. You'll regain about half the loss in general, but check if the items sells well on the AH - and also, always sell the +1's on the AH, never to an NPC. And now, here we go! So last time we jumped up to 65 on a combination of recipe's. This time its much more simple, but far more expensive. To start with, here's your first synth of the class: Recipe: [Level 72] Earth + Saruta Cotton (2) + Velvet Cloth (2) + Silk Thread = Battle Bracers These sell decently to an NPC, and you can make the Velvet Cloth easily on your own, salvaging a decent amount of expense. If for some reason these fail too much, do Silk Headbands until level 67 or so if you want, to reduce the level difference. These should easily take you to 70, though at that point the gain drops rather quickly. Now take the test, and you're an Artisan of Clothcraft! ![]() Now, your next synth, and this one's a ways up the ladder: Recipe: [Level 79] Earth + Linen Thread + Linen Cloth (2) + Silk Cloth + Sheep Leather (2) = Shinobi Hakama If you can get more of the materials farmed, you may even make a minor profit or break even from selling to npc's - *but*, its more likely you'll have to buy everything, so be prepared to lose a lot. Your skill gains are going to slow down a ton now, so you'll make many of these before hitting 75, but they should take you there without as much difficulty. If for some reason they're failing too much, try making this in the interim, expensive though it may be: Recipe: [Level 76] Earth + Chocobo Feather + Silk Thread + Silk Cloth (2) + Giant Bird Feather = Green Beret I didn't make the Green Berets much, as the Shinobi Hakama gave the same skill gain for much less. Remember to sell the +1's at the AH if you get any, and be patient as you go. The skill gains are slow, but they are there. This will carry you to where most people will stop entirely. Profit making synths still remain the same, though try making Windurstian gear from Mercenary's gear if you can: Recipe: [Level ?] Earth + Mercenary's (Gi, Tekko, Hachimaki, Sitabiki, Kyahan) + Grass Thread + Grass Cloth = Windurstian XX The Windurstian gear usually sells about the same, but Federation gear (+1) will happen rather infrequently but sells for a lot more. Anyways, I hope this small yet important session was worth the wait. Good luck in your Weaving endeavors, and check out the next session - Clothcraft 75-85, Same Cloth Time, Same Cloth Channel!
