Re: Clothcraft 101

Symrustar, I'm pretty certain that you would want to save your Rainbow Cloth for later skilling up. With the way the economy has been working out, things are bound to jump up in prices when your going to need the Rainbow Cloth later (around after 90+). So selling it now and then having to waste extra time or extra money (if you buy from the AH when you need skill up after 90) doesn't sound like a wise choice.

This is just my opinion though.

Re: Clothcraft 101

i can make some good money, after a little research

there are good ways to get some synth materials much cheaper then AH and without farming

saving all rainbow´s would mean for me a huge loss
i`m everytime comparing, whats the best for time/money wise
there are simple formulas, each synth 30 seconds, each synth gils profit
comparing then making the items, buying them gives me the right answere.

another question for me is atm, i`ve got the items for a v.cloak, should i try my luck with 10 level over cap?

Re: Clothcraft 101

Hmm... yeah I thought about that aslo... the saving for later skill ups. The prices are just sky rocketing and if they keep this up there is no way I can even thing of being able to buy stuff later. I mean right now one spider web is going for 35k and I wouldn't doubt that they be 40-50k each in a month. So yup I'm just saving everything I have now, and actually been looking ahead and buying stuff I'll need in the future now and storing it on mules while they are still relatively cheap. And hmmm... i guess as far as the synth of that VC goes... use your own judgement. When I made this one that someone had commissioned me to make.... I had just dinged the lvl cap for it hehe.

Edit: Um... silk thread stacks are going for 90k on our server atm... how does this compare to your servers??

Re: Clothcraft 101

silk was short time 100K. dropped now back to ~90K

spider webs had been 50k on pandemonium, but falled down to 20K-40K after a lot of them were farmed and AH were full of them

i bought them at 50K and now i`m not very happy now <.<

silk cloth was up to 400K o.O

Re: Clothcraft 101

Well I'm happy I finally got past the need for spiderwebs and have started on Arhat's Hakama to lvl up on.... and i must say that this is waaaaaay worse than the silk road ever was. (Stack of silk thread goes for 90-100k) I really wish there was a cheaper way to lvl up, or other recipe's that would be feasable to do. Maybe with the new jobs coming out we will have more options as far as stuff to make.

Re: Clothcraft 101

yeah i stuck on 80 (without items) so i could start on Hakama.. but it`s way too expensive.

i make my own silk/vevlet for about 100k less then AH

blue mage could be the way with new clothes, but i hope to level a bit before he is out

i`m saving GP atm and btw i never went the silk road

Re: Clothcraft 101

Hello everyone! Earlier this weekend I decided to catalog the Clothcraft 101 into a document file. I asked the author if I could release it, but it has been a week since I asked and they have yet to reply so I'll do it until they tell me otherwise.

It's pretty nice and helps get all the info in one place. I don't have a file share and the file is about 100KB, much too large to be uploaded here. If you want the file, PM me with your e-mail and I'll send it to you. ^^

Give me some feedback or advice if needed! Thanks! talk to you then!!

Re: Clothcraft 101

100KB too much to upload?? what connection do you have?

i made my own database where i can put some prices and it automaticly calculates the total costs/profits for all crafts.
it`s a living database where i have a faster access and more information then any web site i found

so, i find your idea very good but i have no need for the file

Re: Clothcraft 101

Hey now, no problemo~
The 100KB is too much to upload onto this site. I'm too stingy to actually go out and get a uploadable server space. ^^ But the offer's still out there for as long as needed.

Re: Clothcraft 101

so i had saved up a couple mil and 8 stacks of sheep leather and several stacks of silk thread/cloth that i had been farming along the way... and saw that at 100% full moon lights day was approaching. So I gather up my stuff, empty out my inv so i have space to craft stuff.... they day hits and i start crafting, and have never been so angry in my life. I broke about 50% of these babies and out of 12 synths only got .3 skill. w. t. f.

So feeling that i had totally just wasted a ton of materials time and money... i had some extra materials so figured might as well use them up since earthsday was quickly approaching. And ended up getting .4 skill off of 6 synths.... on 98% waning gibbous (sp). Can someone explain to me wtf is wrong with full moon lightsday? I figured for sure that that would be the optimal day to synth. Or am i just the poor victim of a random SE fluke? (am now stuck here at 83.7+1 cloth.... i swear i'm never going to get to 100 at this rate T.T )

Re: Clothcraft 101

ok so you did 12 synth with 0.3 skill up with 100% full moon lightsday?

anbd 0.4 skill up with 6 synth with 98% moon earthday?

what was the level gap?

i guess the first result is more common. 30-40 synth / skill level is ok (for me)
if you find a way to get constantly 0.4 skill up with only 6 synth then you`re very lucky!

there are a huge amount of different opiniens..
it takes to long to tell you all i ever heared ^^

i made a database with most of my experience too, best level gap with best day etc. but i have no the time to complete that..

so i guess it was SE bad luck or SE good luck

Re: Clothcraft 101

I've found Linnen Cloth to be very profitable...Desynthing Tonberry coats for anywhere from 3-8 linnen threads Coats on Fairy go for 400-600 gil 1 stack of cloths sell for about 60k-65k its a tough desynth but with moghancments its fine and if you're standing in the right direction you can get 8 out of 10 desynths yeilding 1-2 stacks of threads... Mass produce too! but sell in various locations...when i max out on GP i usually keep synthing the item if i can make it and put it less than AH price and just sit by Cloth guild till i get home from work.

Good times!!
