Rasetsu Samue:

Costs: Steel Sheet(5k), Darksteel sheet(20k), velvet cloth(4k), Tiger Leather(4k), Rainbow thread(37k), 2 Raxa(2x70k) = 210k a synth, sells on AH for 20-25k.

All I know is I sure hope I get 10 .1s in a row so I only have to burn 2M >_> sigh, this is gonna cost so much I think I'll go out back and cry for a little while. . .
i hit 98 about 2 months ago, but i finally convinced myself to begin this horrible synth...sooooo much money down the drain, i just hope i get through it as quickly as possible...they really need to add some cheaper synths to reach 99/100 in cloth because errant capes and dalmaticas are a 1 synth a month thing if lucky, and the new whm body is just too expensive right now to even consider...

compared with the synths to obtain level 100 in other crafts, this is just rediculous...

Hi guys

I just recently started up Clothcrafting and I've just hit level 10 last night ^^ I was wondering if it would be viable for me to start on the Linen Threads yet at level 10 with advanced image support?

Another question I would like to ask is on which day do Flax Flowers say the cheapest? I know they are closed on Firesday and so far I've only seen them for 300 or 400, but someone mentioned that they can get down to 100 some. So if you could please tell me I would really appreciate it.

Last question is I'm still confused about the day. So could you please answer this multiple choice question for me please?

A) Craft on the day that your crystal is weak to
EXAMPLE: Wind Crystal craft on Icesday

B) Craft on Lightsday

C) Craft on Full Moon

D) Craft on New Moon

Or is it a combination of them? Thanks again for all the help.

/bow

See you guys later ^^

well lets see what I can answer.

For which days are best and which moon go here.
http://ffxi.lokyst.net/timer/crafttimer.html

In short I craft with wind on Windsday if I am far from cap, when I get closer to cap I move to Iceday. Same thing with the moons. The site linked above will pretty much show you everything. You want 2-4, but 4-8 is workable, but with losses.

Never craft without it.

You could probably start linen threads now without too much pain. A few breaks for the first level or two, but over all should be good.

Flax flowers will be cheapest if no one has been camping them for a few days. My little secret is this. If you are a resident of the nation in 1st place, the airship vendor sells them dirt cheap.

Hope I helped.

I'm 98.8 now and I've only made profit. You should have looked at making Yasha Samues... I would never spend that much gil for 1 skill point. And on top of that, there will probably be new recipes available in April once the "big" update comes around.

I'm sorry, maybe it's just me but I can't understand that website too much ; ; I only understand part 1 ^^ Sorry ; ; I just don't understand the purpose of 2, what it's saying in 3 and 4 ; ;

Anyways, I got my clothcraft up to 19 now and I'm about to try to hit near 30 later today. However I'm still lost at what to make at 22. I read about the fly lures and kaginawa, but i'm not sure which one to make ; ;

the website isn't that bad. Here is what ya need to do.

Lets pretend our skill is 34 and we are crafting a wind receipe that caps at 38.

step 1, put this info in
Step 2 can be ignored for now.
Now on Step 3 find a day that is 2.00 or greater, in my cased this happened ice day and darksday.

Click on one of them. (I am clicking Ice for example).

Box 4 now looks like this
Quote:
4. Click on the values in the table to see a description of your chances of obtaining a skill up and your chances of a successful synth in the section below. More information.

Vana'diel Time: Iceday: 0968-06-15 00:00:00
Earth Time: Friday, Apr 01, 2005 18:38:24
Moon Phase:

South-East Other East
Adv. Support 2.16 2.66 3.16
Free Support 3.16 3.66 4.16
No Support 4.16 4.66 5.16
Now to understand the rest of this click on the numbers. Yes click, even though your cursor doesn't say you can.

hope that helped a little

this is where the factor of each server having it's own unique economy comes into play. from what i hear, my server (cerberus) is decently small compared with others and it's evident from the sales history of certain items on the ah. as of now, one yasha samue sells about every 3-4 rl days. if i had to make 40 of these to gain that one level, it would take quite a while to say the least (and that isn't factoring in the yasha samues that other crafters are selling at the same time)...it is profit yes, but i would much rather spend my time slowly grinding from 99-100 than from 98-99. also, there is a HUGE difference between those two levels as far getting commisions goes...as of now i know of only 2 people on my server who are truely 100 cloth and still play the game (very rarely at that), so 99 goes a long way...and i think it was worth it.

arhat's hakama will take you to 88. i started them at 80, but if you can do mitts it's probably a lot better because you will fail a lot till around 83...also last summer this was a "sell to npc" synth; it will most likely depend on your server though.

I have a question. Do you think I can work on Silk Headbands at 60 if I put on my Glasses and use Advanced Imaging Support along with Windsday and still get decent skill ups? Thanks ^^
