MNK up to 30.
Then 30+ MNK(VIT+, Hp+, Counter, Boost) or NIN (Utsusemi+Dual Wield), THF is also an option with only SA.
Then 60+ NIN (same as before but stronger now), SAM (spam breaks and WS), THF (SATA for damage spikes), though 'they' say NIN or SAM do more overall damage than /THF.

Let me be the first to suggest that you should consider staying warrior all the way up. Galka is a natural at WAR, best race for it IMO, and DRKs are a dime a dozen.

Not to mention WAR will outdamage DRK through much of the game

Anyways, if you're going DRK sub THF to your WAR. Because you'll need the THF sub later for DRK anyways.

This is a bit off-topic but aren't you only able to get your sub-job up to half the level of the mainjob?

I'm not sure if I will continue to level my MNK, it's output doesnt seem to be as great as it used to be.

THF is much more fun to me, I still do high damage (90-100), and then I can do SA/WarCry/Berserk/Sturmwind, which creates a lot of hate, but I like to look at the damage, and if the PLD is good he can take it back quickly.

Still leveling NIN.

War/Thf just isn't that good. S/T is gimped if you're subbing thief, so you won't get the full effect. They just don't have enough instant damage-up skills to wield before using S/T like Drk does.

War/Mnk is useless because we tank much less and /Mnk is a tank's sub. Unless you like to tank, and the Warrior AF seems to be all about it, then you could go for this, but people trust Pld much more.

War/Nin has the damage output needed for a party. They don't depend on some certain point in the battle which they pull all their power into. They hit more, giving them more of a chance to double strike, which means you can hit up to four times. Utsusemi is useless, forget about that. You also have the versatility to use different weapons. Combat Caster's Axes have +5 atk, but the CC scimitar has +5 atk and +3 acc, so you can use one of each, or two of one.

Don't even put time into leveling each job, that's what the idealist wants you to do. Just stick with one job, and stick with it good. I'm currently 50/25 War/Nin with full Iron Muskteer's and dual Viking Axes along with various other expensive equipment. Make the most out of your choice.

WAR/THF with Great Axe is good. I used to down on this combo, but I levelled thief a bit and tried it. Nailed a 660 Sturmwind + 398 frag effect on a VT in my first exp party using it. On average was getting 350-450 on them.

It's awesome with Sturmwind or breaks. Gives consistency in damage and certainty to land. Plus two free crits a fight.

The downside is that while I was outdamaging what I would have gotten with /NIN, I kept drawing aggro and getting nailed without my Utsusemi up

Useless? You must really like getting beat up by the mob, or aren't doing very good damage. Plus it's awesome if you have a THF in the party or if you're the puller.

Utsusemi is far from useless
