Would be nice if they bundled all three games in the US as well, but we know this being SE that that won't happen.

Coded was the weakest link, but I really did like 358/2 Days despite all the hate it gets for some reason. It felt more like an RPG than most KH games have. Well that and Birth by Sleep.

Also, ew on them including "Young" CG Jeff Bridges as Clu from Tron. SOME things are best forgotten - that part of Tron Legacy was one of them. The only way to atone for that is to also inclined the very Dude-esque "zen" line.

I always assumed it was Sora that took Vanita's form rather than the other way around, since Vanitas is the gap in Ventus's heart, and Sora filled that gap afterwards, metaphorically molding himself after it. It'd be interesting if there's a deeper connection between them though.

I know I won't be able to figure out where the plot is going so I'm mostly curious as to who the Unknown from BBS turns out to be. My two guesses are Master Xehanort or Master Eraqus's nobody, but it could be someone new altogether.

As for the first point

Sora had JUST been born when Ven was taken to Destiny Island. So when he lent a fraction of his light to Ven to recomplete his heart, the connection between Ven and Vanitas (since they are 2 halves of 1 heart) granted Vanitas a physical appearance; who was just an embodiment of Ven's Darkness before. If Riku had given the light instead, Vanitas would look like Riku. These are the words from Nomura and cannon novelization, but it could be retconned if he so desires.

And don't forget the pun in his name. Vanitas means emptiness in Latin. The kanji for Sora can also be pronounced "kara" meaning empty.

So I guess Yoko Shimomura couldn't be trusted to rework these tracks into something that actually fit KH?

Because they're all horrible, especially the vocalist. I couldn't stand more than 40 seconds of any track and I'm pretty open about music. Then again that's how I felt about TWEWY. Couldn't stand it after the first hour.

I wouldn't get too excited about a KH "announcement," as I suspect its just going to be HD remasters for the PS2 games. Given the PS2 version of CoM had loads of SD FMV used instead of in-game cutscenes, I sort of doubt that one will make the cut.

There are no plans for a Final Mix of the 3DS game - not surprising since neither DS game got that treatment. No plans for BBS Vol. 2 at this time, either.

I question the necessity of a BBS Vol. 2 in the first place, it seems like KH3D could just sort the remaining plot points out.
