Ya I know this is kind of old news but I'm behind on my reading.

"Sony wants Sega to provide them with a list of Dreamcast titles they can offer on PSN for digital download, including any exclusives."

"Sony is woking on a PS2 emulator for the PS3 and wants to put all PS2 titles on PSN."

"Sony is contemplating putting some Japanese Sega titles like those in the Yakuza series in a special Import section of PSN with a range of prices from $9.99 to $39.99."


DC on the PS3 would make me a very very happy camper! I still take out my DC from time to time and hook it up for old school goodness so this would help me. I hate digging through all my stuff to find the game I want to play.

And some JP games on PSN would also be a nice addition.

Ready 2 Rumble 1 & 2, Power Stone, and Crazy Taxi would be ones that i'd definently buy lol. (Just saw Mal's post HIGH FIVE MAL!) I was just saying the other day that Power Stone should be remade in HD or rebooted lol.

I still have my DC hooked up just cause it's a great source for Shoot'em up games. That and the whole "hey they made a console I can easily burn games for without modding" thing <_<. Used to play Sonic Adventure 2 on it alot until the Gamecube version proved superior, and Marvel vs Capcom 2 until Xbox Live Arcade made a superior version too. I honestly expect Sega to do it considering how well older titles are doing on Xbox Live Arcade. While not Sega exclusive, MvC2 is still selling very well so there's obviously a demand for the old stuff, especially if they are priced the same way.

Now defunct developer Grin was working on a Final Fantasy project codenamed Fortress. The developer is no longer with us but Square has handed the project over to another developer. You know I have to laugh. WAY back in the day (you know where I had to walk 5 miles to school uphill BOTH ways...) waiting for a new FF game was agony for me. Information wasn't that easy to come by and there were years of waiting for a new title. Now we see stuff popping up all the time about this FF game and that FF game and its starting to wear thin with me. I'd rather have a new FF game every 2-3 years and get a quality game than all this stuff shoved down our throats for the almighty dollar............or maybe I'm just crabby and need to go to bed. /shrug

We all know that when this "PS2 Emulator" comes around its not going to be the kind of emulator we really want - Sony's just going to put PS2 games up on PSN and make us buy them all over again. I don't hold high hopes for the rate at which Sony will get PS2 games out, just based the abysmal rate at which they get out PSOne games. Hell, they've thrown nothing but scraps to PSP/PSPGo users these last couple weeks. Thankfully they did get out Soul Reaver and RE2 this week.

Dreamcast games? Better be playable on PSP, too. PSP practically is a portable Dreamcast.

I suspect you're probably right but I'm going to hope this isn't the case regardless. I'll feel a LOT better knowing they put the BC back in so that should something ever happen I can upgrade to a 250 GB PS3 (and yes, I actually CAN fill that much space up with what I do lol > _ <)

Sony actually claims its the developers that are getting the games up on PSN too slowly, but we've all learned by now that SCEA needs to have these need little release schedules. Awesome games approved by ESRB for PSOne channel? We'll set on them for months and then blame developers for getting them out too slowly..

Nothing they release can be too awesome for any side of their audience.

No PSP games this week but the Assassin's Creed shovelware Ubisoft put out (load times galore, all the fun of the console games not there, nothing to do with the power of the system, just a really shitty cash-in), not even Sony's own LBP PSP made it up on PSN this week. Yeah, tell me that exclusive space wasn't paid for, just like AC2's spot for GOTY on Spike wasn't.

PSOne channel gets Soul Reaver and RE2. Good games, but the first time in MONTHS there's been any good games added to that channel.

PSP gets a comic book reader app... with no comic store to go with it. They did tweet out some redeem codes for a few comics, but Aleister Arcane #1was the only good one. So far, it looks like the comics section is all Marvel and IDW from preview. Most of what IDW puts out is shit and Marvel is just shit in general these days. Dark Horse and DC are desperately needed.

The app itself isn't bad, but releasing it with nothing but a few free and mostly crap comics is not the way to promote this.

PS3 gets Ad Hoc Party... after about two years of waiting. Took SCEA that long to translate six pages of text for that app. Oh, you want to play Monster Hunter with people in Japan? Tough shit, we can't let you do that. Oh, sorry Europe, no AHP for you. Crazy we have it in english, we could totally put it out there, but we'll just wait a few months. In the meantime Sony Japan will try to convince all developers AHP is awesome when they've already gone back to implementing infrastructure since western sales are down for certain titles AHP support was promised for earlier than it got out.
