Exclamation the 7 Koopalings are back!!!

Hi-Res New Super Mario Bros. Wii Art At Your Disposal

It took Nintendo over 15 years to bring them back to a console SMB game. In the meantime we were haunted by the
uncreative mess that is the koopa kid jr or whatever its called. They just cloned him and changed his color when they
wanted more than one koopa kid to be involved. It was the dark ages of SMB games.

Now, it's such a shame that player 3 AND 4 slots are wasted with just mushroom people. Toad would have been enough.
They could have fit Princess Daisy and Yoshi at least as unlockables but the best (and stupidest) excuse Miyamoto gives interviewers is that the dress physics is the reason why neither Peach or Daisy are playable (well yea Peach is kidnapped in the story anyways, but who plays these games for "story"???? )

SMB2 and SMB3 are still the only good mushroom kingdom games.

Haven't they learned anything from SSBBRawl? even Mario Party has more playables than New SMB.

I'm sorry. What?

Did you just call Super Mario RPG, Mario 64, Mario Sunshine and Mario Galaxy the dark ages of Mario games?

Mario 2 doesn't take place in Mushroom Kingdom. And you just dissed Super Mario RPG.

Either way, I'm glad they're back.

Re: the 7 Koopalings are back!!!

Yoshis are in NSMB Wii.

Princess Toadstool was useless in SMB2

SMB2 wasn't even really a Mario game at all. It was a game called Doki Doki Panic and Nintendo just switched in Mario characters because they felt the real SMB2 "The Lost Levels" was too hard for us western gamers to handle. They learned they were wrong about that and stopped pulling that shit by the SNES.

If Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island, Super Mario RPG and Super Mario 64, Paper Mario, The Thousand Year Door, Sunshine, Galaxy and Mario and Luigi 1-3 are the "Dark Ages" they were some pretty impressive dark ages. I wouldn't mind living in the forever.

There hasn't been a Mario-centric adventure that has been so bad I wanted to toss it. Sunshine had its quirks, but it was never as bad as people made it out to be. This is a stark contrast to a mascot that hasn't had a really good game since, oh, Sonic and Knuckles.

If Super Mario RPG and Mario 64 are wrong, I don't want to be right.

Re: the 7 Koopalings are back!!!

oh so your opinion is offended by my opinion?

Doki Doki Panic was the greatest and most innovative style that SMB ever borrowed back then. It's really more fun and unique than the Lost Levels, which just looks and plays like a SMB1.5 compared to SMB2 and SMB3.

It wasn't borrowing, it was an outright re-skin if I recall correctly.

I think those are fighting words. (Also like the new avatar Armando ^_^)

Also, IDK Why I thought this was a Super Mario Bros Z Topic. (If you haven't watched it, you're missing out lol especially the for the fight scenes and definently the one in episode 8 OMFG)

Sorry Dura but I'd like to keep my dignity intact. Most Mario fan works suck, most Sonic fan works suck, most sprite comics or videos suck, and most things with a Z appended after its title is much worse than the original, so...

I'll stick to Archie Comics for my Sonic fanfiction needs.

The princess was the best one in SMB2. She could damn near fly!

Dragonball Evolution sucked and Dragonball Evolution Z-Edition sucked too... It didn't make it any worse.

Super Smash Bros. are awesome games. Also, why'd you not include SMB 1 as a good game in the OP? It totally was... Any use the infinite life bounce trick?
