First off, all portable GTAs are now up, additionally, most of Atlus USA's PSP backlog has been made available:

Crimson Gem Saga
Yggdra Unison
Riviera
Steambot Chronicles Battle Tournament
Hammerin' Hero
R-Type Command

In other PSP news, this is sure to please Feba:

Destructoid - Konami announces Shadow of Destiny for PSP

As for the PSOne store update: Your usual helping of fail. Both PSX Oddworld games. Both $9.99 a pop.

PSN updates usually make me want to throw something.

All we really knew about today update were some GTA games were going up. This update is much better than the the two weeks that followed the launch PSPGo's launch. Now if they can just get the rest of Atlus' library up, along with the Metal Gear and Final Fantasy stuff, then it will be really nice.

Well, according to the head of SCEA, Jack Tretton, its not Sony's fault the games you want aren't up on PSN, its the fault of the publishers. Because as we all know, publishers are what updates PSN every week, not Sony which likes to put releases in a neat little window for themselves. You know Castlevania: SotN, arguably the greatest PSX game and 1 of the greatest games period of all time, almost didn't make it over to NA? At the time, SCEA said it wasn't "3D enough"... ya, it's the shit like this makes me orz just as much as the failbox360 and the... well OK I've yet to come up with a derogatory nickname for the Wii but I ain't too happy with Nintendo either.

Don't even get me started on Capcom...

Downloaded Yggdra Union and Crimson Gem Saga. Yggdra Union is a Strategy RPG by the folks that did Riviera and Knights in the Nightmare, but since I'm still in the middle of Jeanne D'Arc, that one I'm setting aside.

Crimson Gem Saga is pretty fucking sweet. If you like the RPG classics from the SNES days, this one is certainly something worth looking into. There are moments you'll be reminded of stuff like Chrono Trigger with the duo attacks and then there's Disgaea-style full-team attacks. Hell, if you can get an ambush on an enemy mob, everyone in your party assaults every mob on the first turn.

It really just goes to show that PSP can be a really great RPG system when the developer really tries.

PS3 owners who love platformers, do please give Trine a look. It's pricy at $20, but it is a VERY good platformer. Sort of like an HD Lost Vikings. Challenging and great level designs everywhere that reward creativity.

I bought it last night and it's quite excellent.

I played through some more of Trine last night. It's quite good, aside from some really uninspired voice acting. The gameplay is pretty deep and the platforming challenges scale up gradually and require you to build new skill sets one at a time.
