Cool story, bro.

Another thing, the PS3 doesn't allow multiple people logging in simultaneously. Some games don't let the second player log in AT ALL. What is that about? With the Xbox 360 you can log in, log out, log up, log down, all on the fly. Seems like the PS3 was developed for people who live alone and have no friends within traveling distance.

Yeah the profile thing is kinda annoying but they've started to fix that in LBP and I think Resistance 2.

PS3 does this too, but being able to copy files without a physical media is pretty nice.

The street goes both ways though. In some games like Rock Band on 360, you can fail to earn achievements because you're logged into the wrong controller.

I don't understand, if you're logged into your gamertag how can you miss the achievements?

Why would it even matter if you got an achievment anyways?

Where did the good old days go when video games where used for fun, not to say "I have teh most Achievements in X game, I am the best!"

Ya thats the first thing my brother-in-law asked about when he saw my systems....gamerscore/achievements. Back when I cared more I had a decent score but I sold my old 360 and my handle to my son. Now I could care less about them and it shows but it is quite annoying when I get online and some immature idiot has to go "NAH NAH NAH I'm better than you!!"

The only difference between then and now is that some of the achievements come built into the game now.

Hi2u speed runs, low level runs, 100% completion runs, Mega Buster only runs, no damage runs, Ramza only runs, x4 White Mage runs, Legend of Zelda no sword runs, etc.

If you start your 360 with the wireless 360 controller and log into your gamertag on that controller, but complete an achievement on the guitar controller, you won't get the achievement. I've heard of a few people who've failed to get some rather nasty achievements that way (Bladder of Steel on Rock Band 2 takes a continuous 6.25 hours of gameplay to complete).

You forgot the 1 Redmage only challenge for FF1 (yes it's actually doable >_>)

Re: Failbox 360

Has anyone else gotten the "You must put this disk into an Xbox 360 console." error message... on a 360 disk?

I have triggered it twice on my friend's 360, with a copy of The Orange Box and a copy of a game called The Last Remnant.... both occasions, the disk/360 has operated normally on a previous session.

In the case of The Last Remnant, it worked after I opened then closed the disk tray (no need for cleaning o.O) with The Orange Box it never worked again, even with cleaning the disk, changing the 360 from horizontal to vertical, back again, turning it off and back on, etc etc...
